another solid adjustment were the wr screens against the bama secondary. Usually need to set up the deep ball to have those work

I agree that Lee should have been given a shot.

And finally, he indicated that Bama's Defensive calls were all sent from sideline based on our formation....and when we went hurry up, they could not adjust....but we only used it for a few plays (which we did gain a few yards).

Then why not keep running it?

Lee has been disaster against Bama. LM should be criticized for not changing play calling or even not playing Mettenberger but not for not playing Lee.

he should be criticized for not trying ANYBODY else. It was clearly not working, so try anything.

Everyone needs to step back and look at it in perspective: Jefferson WAS plan B. Lee, who was plan A, already had failed (back in November). Lee OR Jefferson were both good enough to finish the season undefeated; ONLY Jefferson was going to give us a fighting chance to beat Bama.

All that sounds good, except for when Bama was just shoving it down our offenses throat, I think LSU should have adjusted by throwing the ball downfield to force the Bama defenders to move the 9 players out of the box. So what if you throw a pick? You weren't moving the ball anyway. I say that about any quarterback that was in the game. And if that quarterback couldn't pass the ball down the field, then try another one. Cause it was painfully obvious by the 2nd quarter that we weren't going to move the ball with the game plan we entered the game with.
bama never put 9 in the box. They kept 7 in all night.

Brian Ware, tiger player from the early 2000's ??? (under Saban) was on sports radio in Mobile today. He knows both Saban and LSU. Said only QBs to beat Saban since the Utah loss in the Sugar Bowl has been Tebow, Cam, Jefferson, and Garcia.....all decent running QBs....said CLM knew that was his only chance, especially after what happened to JL Nov 5. Said everyone knows Lee can't take the pressure. Also said T-Bob got blown up every play Nov 5, so he was not in the game. Said we needed to stretch field and those adjustments were made at half, but JJ couldn't execute and/or line could not hold up. Another adjustment was our FB was split wide in the slot (instead of Sheppard) to confuse Tide D (didn't work). And finally, he indicated that Bama's Defensive calls were all sent from sideline based on our formation....and when we went hurry up, they could not adjust....but we only used it for a few plays (which we did gain a few yards). He was very insightful and in many ways defended CLM....but acknowledged Bama's great D. Our plan was to stop Richardson and make McCarron beat us....he did!
None of this fits the current "burn him at the stake" mentality running loose here.

Logical reasonings aren't wanted here on the rant nor will they be tolerated.

fact. this was on the ware screen that was blown up behind the line. Cope was out wide- #23 defended, weren't fooled

McCarron beat us....he did!

fact as well

Still a huge letdown, still feel as if that wasn't the same LSU team we saw all season. I have also read where Kirby Smart said that Bama was surprised at how much different stuff that LSU was running, caught them off guard, LSU Offense couldn't execute though. Opposing D coord says that it means something

maybe entire team knew after practicing the game plan knew that they couldn't pull it off, reason they looked uninterested from the start

11/6 Alabama W 24-21 4 7 67

last years stats.. he made two freakin mistakes on the 2 drives he was in for this years bama game and gets pulls for the rest of the year is the problem.

Also Jefferson looked like hot garbage out there monday, I really don't see what's confusing you JJ/miles steafast supporters.

What about the fix, the death threats, the fights, the poisoned pre-game meals, and all those other things that happened?

I understand playing JJ early. When it was clear that he wasn't going to get it done, he should have put in Lee. Even if he has little chance to get it done lee deserved a shot. It was clear JJ wasn't going to do it.

THIS is what bothers me most about this game. It appears we had no backup/alternatives in place.

Someone please put the explain on this for me please.

Also, Garcia beat Bama through the air.

The OP makes sense. I at posters who think this game was so "bizarre." our passing-poor/run-it-down-their-throat offense was present for at least 3-4 games prior to MNC. Just never came back to bite us against inferior competition.

That being said, interviewee does not explain lack of adaptation, failure to switch to back up QB (any back up), or this alleged half time "mutiny."

so did Tebow in '08, as well as Newton, and Jefferson in '10.
