LINK Sorry if Germans. Searched and didn't see it posted. Can't fault him for missing when he let the front office know he had prior arrangements months ahead of time.

Article also goes on to say he is a model family man and softened rearing 4 girls with his wife living in AZ. I sure hope so. Most amazing hitter EVER at LSU, who went on to have an illustrious ML career with the Indians. Yet had some demons Man.

Sounds like Albert is being a horse's arse about it. You have all of July to go on vacation. What if they had planned it for August 1? Surely 2 days doesn't make that much of a difference.
Speaking of horses asses. Join the club. What comes first, your former job or your family? It appears Belle tried to work out a mutually agreeable date and they chose one he indicated he would not be available. But you choose to label him rather than the one who refused to choose a date that accommodated Albert's schedule. Typical.

If he gave a shite, he could have planned a few days around his vacation for his Indians HOF Induction. Like I said before, he's had all month to go on vacation. He's just still bitter about Cleveland. It's all about Albert. "Most amazing hitter EVER at LSU"? You mite want to check out LSU's career hitting records & note how many times a certain former first baseman who just had his number retired sits atop so many records. Skip kicked him off the team when the team needed him the most, heading to Omaha. Screw him.

i remember him hitting two homers easily way over 450 feet to dead center against tulane at the box in 1987. he was unreal. That was back when we had mark guthrie and stan loewer and barry manual pitching.

Maybe just maybe he already had something planned through 7/31 that is not so easy to reschedule.
Baseball is a long season. He gave them one month when he couldn't do it. They put it in that window. I gotta cut Joey some slack on this one.

To not have Albert in person...the Tribe Induction becomes a total non-event...love him or leave him...he was great between the lines...postpone into the future.
