Look, the defense is the reason LSU was undefeated up until now. But Chavis' gameplan sucked. He gambled on laying back, and lost. Of course, he could've dialed up a blitzing, attacking, aggressive, crowd the line of scrimmage defense, and LSU still could've lost. But I'd rather go down fighting. Still, the score was within reach deep into the 4th quarter and the offensive incompetence finally caught up w/ LSU. Chavis is not the longterm problem. Crowton is. If Miles doesn't make a change, then HE is.

Played in fear of cam instead of playing confident in what we do

Blitzing would have likely given Cam more yards, believe it or not...they were trying to protect against the long plays...poor tackling and not staying in lanes was the problem on defense... the offense and particularly the play calling , the line and therecievers were pitiful..

Wouldn't you rather be able to say one way or the other? I know for a fact we couldn't stop him with the scheme we played today....we won't know how blitzing him would have done.

Most of you are really stupid - especially you.

Our D gave up 24 point to the best offense in football. College football IRL is not like on playstation you dipshits.

Plenty of reason to bitch. "prevent to win" chavis lack of coaching wore those poor guys out. It was like they were chasing their tails all game. He scheme did exactly what it means. prevented them from winning.

Did you people watch the game????

We gave up 440 yards on the ground. We got manhandled and the scheme was terrible and we failed to make any adjustments.

Special teams kept us in the game plain and simple!

Cam Newton has a 70% completion rate against the blitz. There's a reason he had less than 100 yards passing today.

Yeah, he was too busy running for 200 yds against the nickel package we stayed in all damn game.

Part of it was because we couldn't tackle worth a damn.

Honestly, I don't think any team could have stopped Cam Newton today running or passing.

Really? Can't bitch?

Didn't Auburn make more rushing yards against LSU than any other SEC opponent so far this year (or at least that is what SI said).

I'd think that is grounds for at least a little bitching.

Dear a want:

Wait until a good defensive minded coach goes up against this "best offense" in NCAA football. They won't give up 200 rushing yards to Newton or 400 yards plus rushing yards total. Thy will stack against the run and want this guy to pass the ball. Then you'll see how we should have played against Auburn.

Not to mention that you can't stop Auburn's offense without some penetration and run blitzing.

I can't recall LSU doing any of that today...

He tried to make them drive the length of the field.
They did about three times and scored.

They gave up about 5 big plays of over 25 yards apiece. We got fricking gashed all night.

Les can be schooled by Saban on how to stop Auburn. BAMA will beat Auburn.

LSU's punter was the best player on the field today for them. He dominated.

your problem is not defense

That's bull....

Chavis' gameplan was apparently to sit back and let Newton run into the open arms of our linebacks so we could tackle him.

This game reminds me of 07 when ALL Arkansas had was McFadden. We KNEW he was going to run the ball and still didn't stop it.

Pitiful.

everyone is either appalled that they got 440 yards rushing or amazed and you act like it was no big deal.....we averaged allowing 83 rypg and gave up over 5x that but Chavis did a good job? Its a good reason to bitch!
