I agree with the posters who say that the problem with the Defense was our Offense. The way you beat Cam Newton is to keep him on the bench. We did this somewhat in the first half, but not at all in the second half. Too many touches for the Auburn offense. That is what lost this game, plain and simple. The defense held it within one score, and we couldn't score.

Our O did NOTHING in the 2nd half

Yes, the O coming out of half time and going 3 and out 3x in the third quarter blew. What does the staff communicate to these guys? The QB bobbling the center exchange and blowing up plays didn't help, either. The tackling and player positioning left a lot to be desired, but the real issue was AU's DL and OL outplaying their LSU counterparts. LSU's OL was pitiful, especially the 3-interior guys.

The problem is we are only a one dimensional team with a decent defense. The offense offers nothing but predictable plays. Holding AU to 24 points, we should win the game, which is hard to do when offense can't deliver. 3 first downs in the second half is like playing with theD on the field all the time, just exactly how do you think the D will perform.........they must be extremely frustrated and tired having to go back on the field with no support from the O.

Does Chavis coach our punter? If so he'll get some credit.

other than that, we stunk up the joint and made no changes. 525 yards of offense, are you kidding? that aint ever a good game.

and auburn was going in on that last drive, could/should have been a 2 TD spread, just like the stats show.

Look, the defense is the reason LSU was undefeated up until now. But Chavis' gameplan sucked. He gambled on laying back, and lost. Of course, he could've dialed up a blitzing, attacking, aggressive, crowd the line of scrimmage defense, and LSU still could've lost. But I'd rather go down fighting. Still, the score was within reach deep into the 4th quarter and the offensive incompetence finally caught up w/ LSU. Chavis is not the longterm problem. Crowton is. If Miles doesn't make a change, then HE is

I disagree completely. And as it turned out...they had a crap load of plays over 10 yards. They were updating that stat all throughout the game. It was embarrassing.

Yes the offense sucked...but that wasnt supposed to be our strength.

The matchup of the game was their offense against our defense.

Chavis decided to play a passive defense and not take advantage of our athletes in the defensive backfield.

The idea that we couldnt change things up for at least one drive and show 8 men at the LOS look and at least put some pressure on Cam to make plays with his arm is disturbing to say the least.

Our smaller d-line was manhandled and finally wore out. I would have liked to have seen Mingo in their as a LB/DL hybrid roaming along the D-line...making it tough for any dlineman to get doubled.
