For the Harris haters

Some history. Under saban and fisher jamarcus wasn't good enough to unseat Marcus Randall in his second year. We all know how he looked the next 2 seasons. Have some perspective.

I think that's a poor example because the only thing Randle had was experience. Jamarcus would have out played him if started.

he the playa that u love to hate

I can't hate on the kid. It's obvious the coaching staff has failed him and Jennings.

Yet he was relegated to splitting time with him. Despite having ridiculous raw talent

Are u really saying that Les knows how to coach a QB?

And Mett had to sit behind JJ/JL.
Doesn't mean it was the correct decision.

No Harris haters, I think some are disappointed in the fact he seemed to get worse as the year went along.

He was coached to throw high, or behind, or into the ground, to throw it as far as he can and let his receiver out jump the defender, to throw it too hard into the flats...right..its coaching alright..

Harris' numbers are very similar to Dak Prescott's 2nd season. Dak was no great QB his 2nd season! Made bad throws, bad decisions, the game was moving fast for Dak. Year 3, light comes on and bam, you have the Dak we know today.
Harris seems to have regressed because the opponents got better, and now he seems to have lost some confidence. You can tell with the high throws and throwing behind the receivers the game is mowing fast for him. He has arm talent and can run when needed, he's gonna be good for us, if our fans dont eat
him alive before hand!

I thought he would be better this yeAr. He showed flashes but regressed late in the year. Next year should show significant improvement.

He is not very accurate and has poor touch. These are facts, not opinion or hatred. I hope he improves of course.

Well it's pretty clear his mechanics are off. He's throwing by simply snapping the wrist. Poor base, lack of hip follow through. These are things coaches are supposed to notice and correct. A good coach will calm the kid down and get him back on track with talking him through his mistakes and giving him plays to build his confidence. There are times you can see his talent and he played well early in the season.
It's attention to details in practice. How many reps is he getting throwing vs executing run plays? How much attention is given to mechanics. It has to be repeated over and over until it becomes automatic come game day. If not, a QB will revert back to sloppy mechanics. Good coaches do this. When Harris went the offseason QB camp they raved about his talent. Why can't our coaches cultivate that talent?
You tell me.

Around midseason, Harris' touch & accuracy was much improved then came the Alabama game. Since then he's been in a complete mental funk. His confidence is shot right now like a hitter in baseball going through a terrible slump at the plate. This is why Cam should be on the sidelines & not in the booth. He needs to be on sidelines to help walk the young man through adversity instead this is what the end result has been in game for Jennings last year & Harris this year.
frick Miles for putting Cam in the booth when Cam has always been a sideline coordinator in the past. Marty Schottenheimer was as conservative as they come (Marty Ball) but even Schottenheimer in San Diego didn't handcuff Cam the way Miles has.

I have no idea..i'm not a coach. Some players just reach their peak in sports. I'm thinking Harris did when he was in high school.

We either suck at developing quarterbacks or we suck at evaluating them at the high school level. Either way, it falls on the coaching staff.

They guy can't play deal with it

I don't know what to say, I really like Harris but he stunk it up last night.

Practice, practice, practice. You don't develop a passing game during the last 3 weeks of the season. And no, throwing the ball 45 yards down field to the sideline ISN'T a passing game. Harris is a 5 star recruit who experts say has all the tools. He needs practice and repetition.
