I am tired of attributing our mediocrity to (numerous) early departures to the NFL and lack of QB development.

Football seems to run in 4 year cycles with this team so hopefully we will finally have 1/9 out of our systems.
The lackluster recruiting class that we had in 2012 has been killing us. No QB's and only 1 D-lineman (D. Hunter) that signing class.
I believe that we will be much better on both sides of the ball next year.
I think that often LSU players and fans feel entitled and expect other teams to roll over for us. Hopefully now that this team has had their teeth knocked in a couple of times over the past couple of years they will play with a chip on their shoulders.

Excellent question, I don't think so
2011 was the last time
We all love the Tigers, and I am NOT trying to be negative in anyway... after all the preseason polls are mainly for fan interest anyways
I just want LSU to compete at an elite level and be relevant in late November..
being picked 14th-16th before the season isn't a good tail tail sign, though deep down, I know LSU is equally or more talented than most of these teams ranked higher..
like I said, we just have to ball out...
QB must step up and DL and LB's must be elite...
Overall, the program is in a very healthy state...Just need to win more close games
I think LF could be our 2nd Heisman winner and bring glory to the program..

It is a preseason poll. I get it, but other than Bama on the road, I feel strongly about winning every game we play. Auburn will be good, but we have them at home. Arkansas will be tough, but we have them at home. Ole Miss will be on the road, but they have to find a QB too.
