Correct! Finebaum has shown himself to be a smug A hole Alabama Homer. He had been promoting "O" non stop. As soon as Orgeron was named HC, then he becomes suspect in his mind. Holding Alabama to ten points probably has hem concerned.

I hate Feinbaum, but in fairness, he was pumping him hard until the Florida game. Then he went cold on him.

It was a conversation specifically about lsu on espn's golden morning show. I think it belongs on the rant. Thanks for being a complete idiot though.

Isn't the story emerging now that Jimbo was a smoke screen all along? If that's the case, then Paul should check his facts.

Kiffen would come here if he doesn't get a HC because he's tired of being treated like a lil' bitch by Saban

No he doesn't.. He's actually advocated for lane as why he should leave. Ppl love to hate on Paul. He's a person that's easy not to like. As time has passed he isn't nearly as a bama homer as ppl think. He's always Talkn up bama like anyone else. They are about to win 5 national titles n 8 yrs. Saban is the best of the best. That's why he talks him up.

It's quite obviously Saban's players and oversight. All of the crystal balls before Kiffin got there proves that.

From a strictly pragmatic point of view, If I were Kiffin I'd either stay put at Bama until it was time to get my own HC job. So what if he yells at you, you're going to be better off for it. Reminds me of my preceptors in PA school, the ones I learned from the most were often the toughest to deal with on a personal level.

There has to be a certain level of trauma in learning experiences. You can only get better by making mistakes and having someone hold you accountable. The reservation I have with Kiffin coming to LSU is that his friend is his boss. Friends don't make good bosses because often times they won't hold you accountable, they won't traumatize you the way a regular boss would.

TheHat, you really do not know what you are talking about when you claim that Finebaum "isn't near the bama homer as ppl think". Last Aug: " the 3 NC that alabama won were the 3 greatest days of my life". In Sept."when Ms. Terry showed me around their home, she let me peek into Nick's closet". Have you seen the clip, usually as an intro to his show, where he is making a snow angel among all the glitter on the football field, wearing a tux? That is him immediately after the last bama NC. All the others on his show & through out ESPN laughingly kid him about his bama homerism.

Finebaum was hawking Orgeron the whole time. Now, he is trying to belittle the decision and the program.
you can say Orgeron was the man for the job and still recongize how pathetic the situation was handled by Alleva

Word is Kiffin is already gone at Bama, even before all the stuff played out at LSU with Coach O.

You really think Saban hired Sarkisian to be an analyst?

No! Saban gave Sarkisian a year to get clean so he can replace Kiffin.

I think LSU could have locked in Jimbo anytime they wanted. I'm not sure what they did or didn't do to mess that up.

In terms of Herman, it was all about timing. Look, the guy likes Texas better than LSU. I get it. But, when Texas was catching a lot of flack from the players and media about letting Strong go too soon, LSU needed to reel him in immediately. By balking and letting Texas get back into the picture, LSU's chances were drastically reduced. I think Alleva knew LSU was second-fiddle to UT and just threw his hands in the air and said "frick it."
