re: Potential DC candidate

I'm not saying I support making Diaco the new DC. In fact, I think Kelly could do a lot better. I'm just saying that I have a feeling this is how things are going to play out....

Didn't realize that. Reinforces my position....

Potential DC candidate

Posted by MAJ 8ch on 12/10/23 at 7:19 am
Has anyone considered that our next DC is already on staff at LSU? Bob Diaco served as Notre Dame DC under Kelly where he won the Broyles award. He's also had a few other stops as a DC. With all the coaching changes going on, I think that if Kelly were bringing someone in, he'd have already d...
Good luck on your bets! Longshots are what made Vegas. I happened to be in Vegas when LSU played Texas back in 2019. We stayed at the New York, New York and I watched the game in the sports book area with a bunch of Texas fans. (They were actually a pretty fun group to hang with.) My wife...

Where to watch game in Portland

Posted by MAJ 8ch on 6/23/23 at 7:48 pm
I know it's probably a longshot, but my daughter is a travel nurse working in Portland. She's looking for a place with a pro-LSU crowd to watch the game. Any suggestions? ...
That's unreal. What are they feeding these kids? That's some huge 15 year-olds....

Borrowed from Bull Durham

Is the modern-day athlete a pale imitation of the great old warriors? For LSU's pitching staff, only Paul Skenes stands out this year, begging the question: what are these boys thinking about? Because it sure ain’t baseball....
I sure hope they're the real deal. I'm more confident about them making it to Omaha than I've been in a long time. I just reserved my room for June 16-26. If anyone is planning to go, start making reservations now. Some of the hotels I called have already booked all their suites (lots of...

re: Why is Ryan Day getting hate?
Why is Ryan Day getting hate?
Because he was born on third base and he acts like he hit a triple. He inherited arguably the best roster in college football and hasn't been able to finish. ...

re: LSU Ranked 18 in latest AP poll

Posted by MAJ 8ch on 10/23/22 at 1:15 pm
Am I reading this correctly? #12 USC loses and moves up 2 spots while the team that beat them, #15 Utah only moves up 1 spot. I've never put a lot of stock in the poles until the end of the year, but this is ridiculous and blatant favoritism from the LA press....

re: Julius Campbell sums up LSU baseball

I think Teddy Cullinane from Bull Durham said it best: “It’s time to tell it like it is, sports fans. And this is the most wretched season I’ve seen in 20 years. And possibly the worst LSU team in a half-century. Is the modern-day athlete a pale imitation of the great old warriors? Only Crash Davis ...

Watch party in Las Vegas

Posted by MAJ 8ch on 9/2/19 at 7:27 pm
Does anyone know of a place where LSU fans are gathering in Vegas to watch the Tigers beat down the Horns this weekend? I know I can catch the game at any number of places, I'm just looking for some LSU fans to hang out with. Thanks...
Are you guys in the Hall of Fame lot? If so, I think I've tailgated in your general a few times. I don't make all the games, but I'd like to join up with y'all when I'm able to make it out there....
Did they actually scan the parking passes last night at the Bullpen lot? Was it the cluster we expected? I got there about 45 minutes early, so there was no traffic when I passed by. They didn't scan passes at the Hall of Fame lot; however, the attendant looked a little closer than he normally d...
Other than basketball, none of the women's sports are really money generators anyplace
Not trying to be sarcastic, but women's BB is the biggest loser in terms of dollars. re: Where Are You Watching the Game?

Man, I'm so jealous. We were there last June. Stayed at the Hale Koa. You gotta try the Loco Moco at Liliha Bakery and the Poke' from the yellow food truck by the harbor. Also some good food trucks on the North Shore....
