PHXTigersFans in Tiger Stadiumquote:Did you see the steady stream of Bammers leaving Bryant-Denny when A&M went up 29-17 ??? Bull shite! The VAST MAJORITY of the gumps stayed until the game was over. The stadium stayed full. F Bama!

No
From a Bama fan on the SEC Rant:

"I was embarrassed by Bama fans leaving with 8 min left, by the way. Steady stream when we were down by 17-29. You expect the team to fight until the final play and you guys are bailing with 8min to go!?! We scored on lsu in :45 sec, was not far fetched at all that we could come back. Hell we were 2 yards from actually doing it. Freaking embarrassment. I was with a buddy who is an OSU fan and he was amazed at the lack of confidence the fans had in their undefeated team.
If you left early, frick you, you are not a fan! Go root for UAB dooshbags."

I pay for my tickets. A lot. Sometimes I choose to leave early for various reasons. Sometimes I don't go at all. Sometimes I show up an hour early and stay to sing the Alma Mater with the team. I won't apologize or explain any of these scenarios to anyone. F off if you don't like it.

You hit the nail on the head! I had my wife and kids and a friend with his kid and we stayed until 00:00. Then we drove the 75 miles home. Everybody including the 10-12 year old kids had fun. They slept on the way home. I don't want a medal for this but to use kids as an excuse to leave when someone really is going out there to tailgate and they don't have the heart to stick with the game any more means they are a wuss and not much of a fan anymore. Sell you seats!

Im going to the ole miss game next week. I'm bringing my 2 20 month old boys. We are going to eat at pastime, hit up a tailgate and sit in my season ticket seats that I paid for. We will probably end up leaving before halftime. I don't have a problem with that and I don't give a shite if you have a problem with it.

We like our boys to have life experiences and not keep them locked in a house all day.

You might have 4 empty seats in the stadium sometimes, but you're going to have your kids grow up to be lifelong fans, and they'll always remember going to those games with you.

This +1,000,000. Some of my best childtime memories of my dad was going to LSU football games with him. We didn't always stay to the end, and that was OK with me....and in instances like this, I'm fine with. It's the students and other "fans" that leave early to get back to the tailgate or their Greek party.

otowntiger, you are an arrogant a-hole.

Fat cat and Pierre you are tough hombres! I wish I was so bad arse like you guys that I would teach my kids and others that real fans do what they want and when they want and to stay to the end of a close sec game is simply not necessary to call myself a fan. Guess I'm just an old guy who doesn't really get your perspective . I guess I should teach my kids that winners quit! I'll work on this!

You must be confused. We're talking about a football game. You seem to be talking about something much more serious.

Why the heck were they leaving so early? I was very surprised to see that during a close SEC night game.

Unbelievable.

Why would I give my tickets to someone else? If I get the entertainment value I want by halftime then I'm out.

OK I see your point. I guess LSU football has become a part of me like my career and my country, right behind family. I just love it so much. I feel like I have a role to play and that I'm letting the team down if I don't help push them to victory. I guess I should understand when others don't feel that way. Those folks that come off saying how tough they are because they can do what the want pushed my buttons. Sorry if I offended.

I usually stay for the whole game but don't begrudge those that don't. I do, however, get a kick out of our claim to have the greatest atmosphere in college football while doing little, except in "big" games to prove it.

****Removed image temporarily, will repost when jdrumdog shows his face again (see sig quote)****

Posting this for jdrumdog

The leukemia patient I gave my tickets to.

He's 11 and from Memphis.

I said I would post a pic today. I was going to see them off after church, but they left early. Aunt sent me this one from last night. I erased his eyes to protect him.

They stayed until after Loston's INT.
