Why the heck were they leaving so early? I was very surprised to see that during a close SEC night game.

Many threads on this last night. My response to one of them:

We (wife and 2 kids) left early in fourth. Kids were tired. Most leaving at that time had kids with them.

We hit the homecoming parade this morning then chimes for lunch then tailgating. Kids were done after all that. no way I'm sitting in traffic with cranky kids for 2 hours when I can leave little early and be home in 15 minutes.

Years ago, I never left early, but once you start bringing the family things change. I've been to every game this year, home and away, so I'm a big/ committed fan; but I'm not going to make the kids or wife stay past their breaking point no matter what the score or opponent is. The Tigers are important, but I will be responsible for 4 empty seats late in the game very often because of family.

Why even go to the games then?!!!! I get that you have young tired kids, I have two young boys that would be tired and cranky too in those circumstances but it sounds like you planned poorly. Here's a suggestion: give your tickets to fans that care more about the game than all the other stuff, you can go to all the parades and parties and tailgates you want and our team will be supported by real fans when they need it.

There's nothing wrong with that. You might have 4 empty seats in the stadium sometimes, but you're going to have your kids grow up to be lifelong fans, and they'll always remember going to those games with you.

I am not going to condem anyone for leavign early that has what they feel is a legitimate reason, but as they panned the stadium with the camera it sure made me sick to my stomach to see that.

Some had excuses but I can guaran-damn-tee you 90% of you assholes that left early don't. Truly pathetic. Very very sad.

Would do the same. Get the little Tigers to bed. That's a long day for anyone.

WTF??- I said clearly a day with the family trumps staying to the last minute for me. Perfect planning for what I wanted to accomplish.

I Wait around, but if Les hasn't texted me by the fourth quarter and asked me to come down and suit up, I assume he's got it covered and I'm good to go.

Oh got damn people, stfu. Miss st wasn't going to win that game. It was never in doubt and the fans stayed as long as they needed to.

When it was on the line against sc and Bama the place was full.

The Internet is such an annoying place for people to bitch.

This. Quit bitching about things that are inconsequential. Tigers won. Crowd in attendance at 4th qtr is irrelevant.

I used other people leaving as an opportunity to stretch my legs and move closer to this smoking hot raven haired coed who had to be rockin at least a pair of D cups.

Win win for me.

Had to leave early because of a long drive and work early in the morning. I noticed a few people didn't have any jackets to keep warm against that wind. Maybe that was part of it.

Game started at 6:00pm. Not 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, etc.

I gave her the eye.

She smiled.

Then my wife asked me to go buy her a coke. My wife, not the 20 year old.

Clearly everyone left early because they don't believe in LSU or want to support them in any way...so they paid $100+ and a large part of their saturday only to leave with 5 minutes left in a 3.5 hour game on the whim that a national TV audience would see it.

Their intention was to steer recruits and would-be fans away...clear success.

Jesus Christ you sound like a douche. It's a football game. Against Mississippi State. It blows my mind that stuff this minor pisses people off.

I kinda agree. I sold my tix for the season because the wife and I just had another kid but it was a little embarrassing to see the stands like that. They were making an issue out of it in tv. 4th quarter starts and the stadium was at least half empty.
