I bet you also complain when there's a 2:30 kickoff.

What? That post doesn't make any sense. I don't think you understand what's being argued here. Move along.

I think most people understand fans who buys tickets can do whatever they want regarding the game. I think what people don't understand is the fact people leave early after spending said money, time, etc and have waited all year for football season.

I'm sure your aunt is quite proud of your excuses for posting pics of her son on this website for exploitation purposes. We get it roaad, sympathy for the guy who bitches about people leaving but doesn't actually attend games himself.
I certainly enjoyed kicking all the puppies as I walked out of the dome today too. Nice edit btw. For your family's sake I'd hope you reconsider posting any personal pics no matter what kind of story you need to conjure up for a sympathy vote.
Oh......and *yawn* my sleep was amazing last night.
Thanks for playing. Later honey bun.

Whiskey drains you, we were playing lackadaisical and still pretty dominant going into the fourth. Girlfriend and I were arguing.
I kicked myself for leaving after I heard the crowd go nuts. I looked at my LSU app and saw the 100 yrd touchdown interception. Loston had mediocre play even with that pick.
ETA: I had to edit this post because so douche bag that is friends with my gf just texted her that I said, "she was bitching at the game" on tigerdroppings. Jesus Christ how old are you?

This is not a new. They do it on the regular. Did you not remember seeing how empty the stands were when LSU almost lost to troy state back in 2008.

quote:So, "Superfans" are now those that want to stay for an entire game to see if LSU actually wins a close SEC game. Not too long ago, those used to be called normal LSU fans. Sad sad state of affairs.
He(RE) come r(T)he superfans
Why don't all you arrogant "It's my money and my ticket and I'll do whatever the hell I want" little fricking johnny come lately "Cheesers" that leave early for whatever nonsensical reasons that your ego is justifying, just stay out of the stadium. Sell your freaking tickets to people who would actually like to watch the Tigers play football and are not interested in the LSU social Saturday night Wine & Cheese party.

No. Superfans are those that cry and bitch when people leave when they want to, asking "why even go to the game if you're not going to stay until the very end?" You want to know why? Simple. I wanted to go to the game but didn't feel like staying until the end. Super fans don't understand this and get on a message board and cry and criticize. Regular fans don't give a frick.

I have been going since I was two/three yrs old and ppl left more so in the 90's than now days. Back in those days my brother an I would make our father and step mother stay until the end. I'd say I stayed longer at games than most bitching. They are new guys, they are new.

After the loss the week prior, many people were talking about 'just taking the week off'. Of course, most didn't and showed up. Although the previous week's loss was draining and took a major toll. Once we got the MSU game in hand, I bet they knew their job was over. I'll cut em some slack for this one.

I love when people think they have a right to tell you what to do with your own ticket that you payed for...

People just need to realize that Tiger Stadium is not the same Tiger Stadium of the old days. I have been in the same spot for 13 years now and the area I sit in has changed big time. It only really gets loud for 1 or 2 games a year now.
I used to recognize everyone in my area and they were usually there for every game. There are still a couple that are left but now there is someone new every game and most of them leave before or right after half time. Ever since the tradition fund was established, it seems each year that someone might give up their tickets or just sell them due to cost.

From where I sit the East side and the upper decks had a ton of empty seats from beginning. I guess hunting held more priority.

Always stay until the end. We left after the game ended, walked to Gourrier Lane to our car, and was home in 20 minutes!

Guess you are one of the thousands that complain about lack of night games, but leave before night sets in.
Tailgating more important than supporting the young men who play the game. Sad,sad state of affairs.

I stayed until the end and was embarrassed by how many people left. The game was still relatively close when people started leaving too.

quote:I realize it's not new, but its no less ridiculous. LSU fans are just plain inexplicable and they like it that way. I don't find their inability to watch their own team in a game that they look forward to all year in any way endearing. Its like they can't wait to get out of the stadium as soon as they get there. It takes the smallest of excuses to send the masses to the gates and sometimes not any excuse, like this past Saturday. '
This is not a new.
By the way, While I live 700 miles away I support my team at any chance I get. I have been to every game they've played in the state of Florida since I moved here 23 years ago. I have been to numerous games in T.S. since then (obviously not as many as I'd like) I'm avid member and supporter of the LSU alumni association via generous donations so I don't think one can accuse me of not being a good supporter of my team and university.
Thank you.

Many threads on this last night. My response to one of them: We (wife and 2 kids) left early in fourth. Kids were tired. Most leaving at that time had kids with them. We hit the homecoming parade this morning then chimes for lunch then tailgating. Kids were done after all that. no way I'm sitting in traffic with cranky kids for 2 hours when I can leave little early and be home in 15 minutes. Years ago, I never left early, but once you start bringing the family things change. I've been to every game this year, home and away, so I'm a big/ committed fan; but I'm not going to make the kids or wife stay past their breaking point no matter what the score or opponent is. The Tigers are important, but I will be responsible for 4 empty seats late in the game very often because of family.
Your teaching your kids bad habits bro. My kids were tired and cranky but I made them suck it up and we didn't leave until 00:00 was on the clock. You got to teach them young!
