Yeah, except LSU is winning right now and there are still very spoiled fans that complain, and frankly will never be satisfied. Those are the ones that suck. So I don't even know why you tried to make that point. It's asinine and doesn't apply to LSU.

you want to bring back the crowds in Tiger Stadium?
Only one of two ways.
Saban comes back-never gonna happen
No more season tickets, all general admission tickets- never gonna happen
Jesus Christ where do you come up with this shite?

Pat Forde pointed out how empty the stands were at the end of the game Saturday, and called LSU fans "the quickest to get off a sinking ship." On Moscona's show today he pointed out that LSU fans have become spoiled, and that Tiger Stadium and the fans have lost their edge. The stadium is great for a big-game atmosphere when LSU is good, but otherwise it's not what it once was.

It happens everywhere but LSU is being called out more because of the standard that we've set.
#1 venue
Top Atmosphere
Etc.
It does suck but it is what it is. I guarantee it will be rocking for Bama & Ole Miss though.

people leave games early when theres blowouts against shitty opponents
people leave games early when their team is getting handled and they're pissed.
this is not an LSU thing.
good games against good opponents equals packed and loud.
we have this same conversation every year.

Of course you personally only control or have an impact on one of these things. So you're saying you choose to be the bad at the one part of the relationship that is your responsibility.

I thought Saban was griping about empty seats last year and DNS leaving early.
Just shut up
Just shut up

And can the people arguing that this is only a recent phenomenon assure me that the stands were completely filled every game and for the entirety of the game in the 80's and 90's? I find that hard to believe if so.
And with the advent of having every game available on HD tv, I would expect modern day attendance to suffer regardless.
Having said that, LSU fans have definitely become spoiled, I'll admit that. Bailing on your team when down against an SEC foe is pretty shitty. I don't expect people to stick around for Townson or New Mexico St., but the mass exodus with Miss. St. was pretty embarrassing.

It's fricking entitlement, that's all.

I was at the 1996 LSU vs New Mexico State game. The crowd wasn't any different.

How does LSU mistreat its fans?
EUD season ticket holders are mistreated. 1 automated way up. I called about bringing my father to the game to see if he could use the elevator they were adamant that unless he was in a wheelchair he would not be permitted to use it even if the escalator broke down. Which always happens.

They're spot on. It's sad how spoiled, entitled and fickle we've become.

When have LSU fans ever not been front runners, in any sport?
That being said, the younger current college generation has known nothing but is winning in their life times, they don't have any of the grit and perspective gained from suffering through those losing years. Also, pretty much any top program becomes bored with this shite tune up home games, or getting blown out by a team that hasnt beaten you at home in 20+ years. The rowdy full crowds of normal will return for Ole Miss, Bama games unless we lose out until then.

LSU wasn't exactly loud and rowdy in the late 90s for similar quality opponents.
Who here stayed until the very end of the 1999 LSU vs Auburn game? I may recall your face..
It like today's LSU's fans forget about Booing Josh Booty to try and get Davey in the game.

Okay then explain to me when Tiger Stadium was at it's best? When we filled the stands for the Southern Athletic Club and stayed to the very end? I started going to games in the 80s and if we would have been getting waxed by moo state then, the stands would have looked the same. Hell in the early 90s people couldn't sell their tickets for $10. This whole not what it used to be is bullshite, unless we're talking about prices and the god aweful piped in music.

EXACTLY.
Tiger Stadium isn't really any different today than it was 14 years ago. The Fans booed the starting QB and its starting MLB. At it wasn't directed at the coach back then either.
Fans showed up late and left early vs the cream puffs. The only difference was it was cheaper to go to a game back then and traffic wasn't as bad and you had tigervision or show up to the game and when you did go the band was the focus.

I think Tiger Stadium will be rocking once the Brandon Harris show returns home from a big win on the Plains.

I so enjoy the after game radio on 98.1 FM when LSU loses or plays badly. Its some of the funniest stuff I hear all year long. Maybe people are just leaving early to get to their cars to hear it. I'm not talking about what airs right after the game. I'm talking about the rant that airs afterwards with Boudreaux from Mamou and Thibodeaux from Breaux Bridge. The callers seem to spit when talking they're so mad sometimes.
