I disagree. 2007 was awesome. Really started in 2009.

It's always been this way. It's just more evident now because the stadium is bigger. LSU fans have been terrible bandwagon fans for the longest time.

LOL. These tards jump at the thought of rain.

But serious, it gets frustrating. LSU can't ever seem to put the whole thing together. LSU gonna LSU. As always.

I'm not an LSU fan so I could really care less. But I do listen to moscona's show and thought it was an interesting perspective.

many people have said this and been run out of here. its true but LSU shares just as much of the blame for forcing that situation as a result of restricting parking for $, higher seat costs, and the revolutionization of ability to watch games at home.

All in all it hurts the game day atmosphere for any game aside from bama/uf/auburn/a&m

I think if we polled people, and you told them accept that winning two national championships in four years will mean that you no longer hold the atmosphere title for college football on every given Saturday. That the Old Lady will not be as good as she once was, but on special Saturdays she will rise up and be a monster, that most everyone would pick the titles.

What would your decision be? Anyone who picks the "Ole Miss winning the atmosphere" doesn't understand fandom and football in my opinion. I'd ALWAYS prefer to have the best team to the best fans. If that spoils the atmosphere, I'll adjust.

Not just an LSU problem. I was in Starkville last year for the LSU game and it was like a fire drill of fans leaving when the 4th quarter started and LSU was up two scores. I couldn't believe it, because it was still a reasonably close game and State showed they could score quickly.

I will leave when I want. If LSU wants to start giving me free tickets with the stipulation in order to get them to stay the entire game then I will. Tired of seeing double tight end I-formation 21 toss dive.

Yeah I don't really give a shite one way or another. Tiger Stadium is still freaking amped up for a big game. See South Carolina and Alabama 2012 and Auburn 2013. NO stadium in the country would be amped up for New Mexico State or Furman (and this is not in the slightest bit a complaint about our schedule).

The only thing I think is pathetic are the comments that are made after a loss. You would seriously think that Bama fans come on here and post stuff just to start a bunch of shite. Some of the stuff you read on this site is absolutely pathetic.

LSU is a victim of their own great success. Go back to seeing 8-4 seasons as success as opposed to disappointments, and you will see "the old Tiger Stadium" return. Fans leave because LSU is expected win, and once that is secured (in their minds) it's time to go back to the party. Or, arse-kickings like Sat. night are so uncommon, many aren't willing to stick around and watch it unfold in a game LSU was "supposed to win".

I think that's the issue. Fans put in ALOT of time and money to actually attend the games. It's at least an all day event in the heat and can cost hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars.

After putting ALL that effort into attending, I think we would like to see that effort translated from the coaches - even against the cupcakes.

They wanna run a vanilla game plan, then they should expect a vanilla fan base.

I'm tired of the double standard.

Tiger fans stay the same amount of time as the 70's,80's,90's.. its just that after 3 hrs now, its just the start of the 3rd Q.

There isn't a fan base in the world, particularly one that is without alcohol and decent food, that will stick around and watch their team get their head kicked in for 3 and a half quarters. The fact that we somehow made it interesting at the end is a testament to our team's resolve, but that won't necessarily be reflected in our fans' resolve. And frankly, I was pleasantly surprised by the number of fans that remained in the stadium through the 3rd quarter despite the fact that LSU looked like it hadn't made a single fricking adjustment and basically looked atrocious in all phases of the ball (whether that's the players' fault or the coaches' is of no matter).

If it weren't for the fact that I was in the stadium club seats and could go in, grab a drink and some food, I probably would have left in the fourth quarter, too.

People need to consider why LSU had to be proud of its atmosphere. The idea that LSU at night is the toughest environment grew because LSU fans had a need to be the best at something, and the football team didn't get it done. That perception was an outgrowth of our mediocrity as a program. It is no surprise that once our program started winning, people care much less about being the best fans, they are invested in having the best team. I actually think that is progress. Don't cry about it. Celebrate we're good enough to be spoiled to losing early season games!

Case and point about the ignorance of our fanbase. Although this guy is known for that.
