you dont have to be deep in experience to win...let kentucky this year or even the 2006 final four teams be examples of that. But even after saying that we will have a ton of experience 2 starting seniors in spencer and white to go along with the juniors in warren and bass. i dont see ludwig or green playing much at all and may be the guys who give the chairs at the end of the bench a purpose. trent johnson knows what he's doing as he was able to recruit in the south and bring along his west coast connections...8 seed in 2010 and a 3 in 11

Ummm.. Went to the Final Four, won an SEC title and two SEC West titles.

Not everybody in that class were big contributors to the Final Four run.

That's because he recruited even better players the next two years and started the players who best provided the opportunity to win. Of teh 2003 recruits Bass was an early entry to the NBA, Minor was suspended for academic improprieties, Koundjia didn't think he was getting enough playing time which was debunked as he was no beter at GWU, Neltner elected not to stay and compete, and Lazare was rewarded with a Final Four.

Basketball is interesting in that it can be turned around quickly. Yeah, the SEC title is probably out next year but down the road there is no reason to be pessimistic. Looks awesome. Gonna be a fun ride.

I can't wait until we have a consistent program again. Can you imagine going to the NCAA tournament for three consecutive years? LSU hasn't done that in nearly two decades. IF Gonzaga can do 11 straight, surely LSU can run off 3 straight!

The Brady's lovers here have talked bad about B. Pearl at Tenn. but he has UT in the big dance every year since he was hired at Tenn.

Brady, with all the SEC POY, freshmen of the year, at LSU couldn't do that. Yet they still defend JB

I expect to win 6 SEC games. The real thing I am interested in next year is seeing the new guys and what our preconference schedule looks like, especially at home.

Anyone have insight on it?

Link it, I dare you. It's amazing how you just start making stuff up. Did I think LSU would win more than 2 games in the SEC? Yes. I also stated I thought they could make the NIT. Never did I predict "20 something wins".

Also, this is a cop out. Why not address the facts that dispute your false claims?

Stro,

I am thinking this cjf character is an alter. Has the makings. Join date January 2010, yet he somehow knows your predictions, which if you made them had to be back in November. LSUBeat.les must be at it again.

I am excited about Johnson's great recruiting class for 2010 as are most LSU fans. However we need to keep it real. It will take a couple of years to develop this talent to play at the D1 level. For example, North Carolina's 2008 recruiting class was ranked #11, and the 2009 class #5 according to Rivals. What did they do this year but go 16-16.

Yes, Kentucky was great this year, but the 2009 class was one of the best of all time and they still played like rookies at times.

LSU basketball fans need to remain patient. I hope for a great season in 2010-11, but more realistically, it may be the 2011-12 before we see real results.

All I want for next year is win more than you lose, and at least make the NIT so I can see some games televised in March.

yeah, that's kind of strange. If his claim wasn't false, that would be kind of creepy that he remembered that...

I know a guy who is good friends with Josh White (PG for North Texas), and he said North Texas is coming to Baton Rouge next year.

I think it's funny these guys want to say Brady won the SEC in his third year, but leave out the fact Trent won it in his first year.

Also, he has had one recruiting class. The group just signed will be his second. Bass was given an open scholarship in the summer after TJ was hired. That hardly counts as a "recruiting class."

Go check who Brady signed immediately after he was hired. Bass would be star of that recruiting class.

Someone the other day claimed this was his third.

Nope, I hope it doesn't include quite as many in-state schools though.
