Right, because LSU football is all year long right? You're fricking retarded.

I'll never understand people like you who call yourself LSU fans, and seemingly pull for the baseball team, basketball team, and women's BBall team to lose because you think you're a badass and "don't give a shite"

White
Warren
Derenbecker
Spencer
Ross-Miller/Stringer

That's 2, chief. To tell you the truth, i would not surprised if Spencer came off the bench next year.

You're right Doc. I would pull for LSU wrestling and swimming if we still had those sports. It's in my Tiger DNA. These other guys are mutants.

Personally, I am excited about next year's basketball team. We may not win the west, but I think we'll be very competitive.

are you kidding? LSU fans expect NC's in every sport, every year...re: the who to replace Van Chancellor thread from this week

All I want is for them to be competitive early in the season and win late...

NCAA bid could be a stretch but CBB changes so much yr to yr now that a bid is not out of the question

Not signing any sec caliber players in a coaches first two years is unheard of in D-1 college basketball, still baffles me.

Well, your logic baffles me. 2008 cannot be considered Trent's class since he didn't come on board until April. Last year, he signed Dotson who had offers from USC, Louisville, Wake Forest, Washington, etc. Yeah, it doesn't sound like he's SEC material. Ludwig also had offers from Ole Miss and Cal, and obviously should have been redshirted but didn't have the luxury of doing so. Yes, TJ did decide to save a few scholarships instead of just offering them to anyone. Just in case you haven't noticed, the state of Louisiana hasn't been busting at the seams with bball talent the last couple of years. TJ just landed a top 15 class and that doesn't include transfer Malcolm White who's SEC ready. Again, do you just make this stuff up in your head?

ETA: Also, it seems as if some people fail to differentiate between football and basketball recruiting. They are different animals and more long term relationships are built in basketball recruiting. Many coaches have been on some of these players since they were freshmen in high school. As much as you might not like it, it takes time to build these relationships and that's one of the main reasons Richard is on Trent's staff.

If they win 4 sec games next season, I'd consider them twice as good as they were this past yr.

4 games will not be good enough next year. It's a lot easier to win with young talent in basketball compared to football.

To know whether they are too high, one needs to know what they are. Do you have any credible evidence indicating what LSU fans' expectations are for 2010 in basketball? A few posts on TD.com isn't credible evidence, by the way. Even a poll on TD.com, while much better, is still inconclusive.

Hey Stromile
for the record richard does no recruiting, not sure what planet you are on but if TJ wins 4 games in the conference next year we will be discussing the next coach. So i guess you are saying TJ had no contacts or recruits at stanford, at the very least he could have brought in a couple of those guys, so your relationship arguement is bullshite. Also Ludwig was offered by ULM and William and Mary, not Cal and Ole Miss, and Bass was recruited by no one. Dodson did get some looks from big schools i will give you that one. Let's talk next year at this time in our coaches third season to see how his first real class works out. The jury is a long way out on his third year, the last coach we had here won the SEC in his third year and also had his conferences freshman of the year in his second year another blow to your relationship arguement. I still say Spencer, Warren, harris, and green will be the strength of this team, still depending on brady's recruits in his third year.

First of all, you are kidding yourself if you don't think Richard plays a role in recruiting. Check out his bio and you will learn recruiting La has always been one of this strengths. He knows LA high school basketball and his connections are invaluable. TJ needed someone that knows the state and Richard was a perfect fit.

Keith's bio

Here are Ludwig's offers according to Scout and Rivals. Scout has both Ole Miss and Cal listed as offers, and Rivals has Cal....

Yeah, because LSU and Stanford are so alike and they are so close in proximity. However, this is exactly what happened with Dotson. Before TJ arrived in Baton Rouge, Dotson has no correspondence with LSU.

White has been ABUSING Green in practice, he better get his act together quick because Malcolm will be STARTING next year.

we need to be prepared that next year may not be so great- my biggest concern is lack of a floor leader- don't set your expectations to high

the following year? TJ must produce and make the NCAA tourney-

someone was calling the team next year "deep" on the recruiting board

i just dont see it.

deep in numbers i guess. Not so deep in experienced talent

Yeah I still believe we will be deep. Sure, the experience isn't there but it's still depth and allows us to have a lot of changes to the lineup that we haven't had in quite some time.

756, I agree 100%. Next year, anything less than 6 SEC wins will be a disappointment. However, in two years this teams needs to be DANCING.

I can't wait until we're good again over the next few years so these dumb motherfvckers like cj will go back into their caves. It's painful listening to them on here each day defend that POS in Brady.

I can't wait until we have a consistent program again. Can you imagine going to the NCAA tournament for three consecutive years? LSU hasn't done that in nearly two decades. IF Gonzaga can do 11 straight, surely LSU can run off 3 straight!

I have the utmost confidence in TJ. And I think we have a chance to be dancing next year. I really do believe that. Maybe I'll be wrong and have to eat crow but I have a lot of confidence in TJ.
