Just FYI...I am in Monroe and it was blacked out. I downloaded the Hotspot Shield, signed up for an ESPN 3 account, logged in and setup remote access for the ESPN 3 account, ran the shield program and then the UC Irvine game played no problem.

I did the same, except I already had an espn account. I signed in, clicked on remote access and then activated the shield and clicked on the video link. It tried to come up and then said blacked out.

May not matter but I setup a new ESPN account just because I was not sure if there was a difference between my existing ESPN account and ESPN3. Then after activating the remote access I shutdown everything and restarted my computer........may be worth giving it a try

Invisible Browsing 7.5 worked for me. The other software, nor the shield, worked originally.
