Hell I argued last year to go straight to the Nebraska offense of yester year and just play like Crouch/Frazier were the QB.
It wasn't a terrible idea about 4 games in last season.
I dunno, I'm hoping (maybe foolishly) JJ got complacent last year. I think he was fine as a sophomore, not great, but he showed promise for a first year starter. He regressed ridiculously in 2010. I hope he puts it behind him and plays at a functional level in 2011.

JJ's biggest problems IMO are confidence and overcoming adversities. Once JJ gets down on himself it is OVER. He needs to be pulled.
Actually, I would say this is Lee's biggest problem

Heard this same tune last year...excuse me if I want to reserve judgment until I actually see him play.

If he doesn't I believe LSU has a player who could perform similarly (not by running the ball in passing) in Lee who I would like to see how much he has improved and LSU has a player with a higher ceiling than both in Mett who I would love to see.

Regardless of what happens with either Jefferson or Lee, you have to admire what the kids have been through and have not folded the tent. Imagine how it must have felt to be Jefferson last October when you were roundly booed just to start the game by 92,000 people. I know a lot of kids who would have folded their tent but he responded by improving his play over the last half of the season. I am really hoping that his lack of fundamentals was because of Crowton and he excels this year.

I was about to jump the gun on this article and say "We've heard all this before" but then I read the article and it's really different from what we have been hearing. It's from Jeffersons own mouth and even he admits he's not to where he wants to be yet.
Kids a competitor. Last time I read an article of this feeling was last spring on Auburn. They went on to win the NC this past season so...

Jarret Lee beat out JJ last spring and they still gave the job to JJ. Lee deserves a chance. But the coaches won't give it to him unless they are at the end of the game and in striking distance and need a quarterback that can lead the team to a score. I am tired of Lee being disrespected. We will see the new JJ in the spring game. Last year he played most of the season as poorly as he played in that game last year. Lee looked brilliant.

Seems Jordan has made a lot of improvements due to his own hard work. Good for him. Hope it all pays off for him.

Nothing has changed with JJ. Comments like this are proof that he just doesnt't get what it takes to be a championship QB.
so the 34 sacks was normal play for him?
Small things? Really? Wonder what the big things are? Throwing to the same colored jersey, knowing the snap count?
This part is Miles' fault. JJ knew he would never lose his job.

What I want to know is why the hell did it take him so long to get serious and start working harder to get better?
I'm willing to bet it's because up until now, he's had Miles in his back pocket. He knew that Miles preferrred him over Lee because of his ability to run, never mind the fact that he still can't read a defense to save his life. Now LSU has a new OC, and JJ has got Mettenberger breathing down his neck.
As has been repeated on here several times, I'm not buying into the JJ hype just yet. We've all heard this from Miles before.

By what measure?
I remember Lee throwing yet another pick 6 in the Spring Game...

I believe that Jefferson is going to put it all together this season...really do. We'll see.

You know him personally, I'm guessing?
Because that's really the only way you could know this...

Anyone can see that who has paid attention to the games. Hell, you can even get it in previous interviews. He regressed last year because he is immature and I'm still skeptical to see if he has matured any. I have my doubts.
JJ has almost acted like they were entitled to have him on the team. Like the world revolved around him and he knew he had LSU by the balls with the terrible QB situation. Not to mention Miles babying him as usual.

Whoever posted that Lee was brilliant hasn't watched a full game of LSU football this past season.
