You need it explained to you that Sumlin should be, and in reality most likely is, in hotter water than Miles?

Meaning he's won 112 games in 11 seasons.

I guess math is hard.

" A 10 win season will be the norm"

Why is a 10 win season, when you play in the SEC West, apparently frowned upon by some when only five Power five conference teams have managed to average 10 wins a season in the last 11 years?

Because Saban came back to the West. If Bsma got anyone else, the last 9 years would have been very different.

I can want more and at the same time appreciate what I've been given. I don't understand why that's such a hard concept for some to grasp.

The truth is, averaging 10 wins a year while you're playing in the SECW is quite an accomplishment. One that no other SEC team but LSU has been able to do.... No matter what Nick in Bama have done. imo

Since when do the gumps have a larger market size/space than LSU? Have you been to Tuscaloosa?

The Gumps are a HISTORIC program that has faux fans all across the US when they are winning. Think Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma...

Their brand is better than ours in CFB, just as our brand is better than theirs in baseball.

It's time for us to beat the gumps, everything else will fall in to place

It won't matter if you beat the Gumps in the eyes of the media and ESPN. They will still get every benefit of the doubt due to brand.

Learn to deal with it or quit being a fan.

I still believe, at the very least, that Cam Cameron should have taken a pay cut. There's no reason he should be the highest paid OC in college football.

If ESPN says Miles is in trouble, then it must be true.

Sincerely,

The idiots before the 2007 SECG saying he was taking the Michigan job.

You want them on your side. They're the ones you herd into the canyon to spring the suspected ambush. Very valuable to have them on your team.

Yes, because LSU has never won a game on the final drive under Miles.

Ever.

I was thinking more of the " I'm taking my ball and going home" kind of crowd.

He did. Took a $300,000 pay cut. And I don't think he's the highest paid coordinator anymore.

EZE Tiger Fan, you are correct. Like it or not, Bama was the chosen brand, (and as much as I hate to say it), LSU was not. Consequently, in marketing you must neutralize the competition, I.e. LSU and it's leadership. Hence, the mouthpieces of the media cooperatively belittle Miles (Reece was the one who nationalized "The Hat" moniker making fun of Miles and his hat. Incidentally, Reece is a Bama grad); Paul F. Has more than once expressed his disdain for Miles and described Baton Rouge as a cesspool of a place to live; The recruiting services (more specifically, Rivals) were complicit.

All that to say, I am not surprised when I see junior-league hit pieces on Miles and/or LSU. I don't necessarily begrudge a university marketing its brand, but when the major sports media is the one doing the marketing for you, it takes away the amateur aspect.

So in short, ESPN sows discord regarding Miles' job performance, then gets uppity when there is discord regarding his performance

welcome to "journalism" in 2016. they are simply not held accountable for their statements. so they say shite to get controversy and increase ratings. it isn't just LSU they twist things about.
