How is this even a rational comparison right now?

Way too early. While Reid made an impact early on, for me Adams had a more memorable freshman year.

Reid is a freak athlete and had a great supporting cast his Sophomore season. It really allowed him to flurish.

Perhaps something similar will transpire for Adams this year.

Man, that's tough. Reid was so phenomenal. Amazing athlete, smart, a leader, etc.

I'd love if Jamal became that great.

I think Jamal has the skill set for a higher ceiling. He doesnt play as violently as ER1 did, he is a bit more finesse, but he is a stud in coverage and read and reacting to plays.

If Jamal Adams becomes as good as Eric Reid, we are in great shape.

The Reid play at Alabama is still maybe my favorite play ever.

Adams and it won't even be close. That's how good he is. He's the Tigers best player and that includes LF

That's plain stupid. I'm not saying Adams might not end up being an acceptable choice, but to suggest he'll be way better is silly.

That's absurd. Eric Reid was a consensus 1st Team All American and the leader of our defense. He was very smart, a great leader, and a freak athlete.

He was drafted in the 1st round, is now a very good NFL safety, which he earned a starting role his rookie year, and a pro-bowl birth his rookie year.

If Jamal Adams is that good, we're in great shape. If someone were so much better that it "isn't close" to Eric Reid, they'd be the best safety of all time.

I agree with this, but its close with several players.

At this point there isn't even a debate. Adams had a good year but Reid was a 2 time All American and a 2 time All SEC player.
