And we don't know if he can block the edge and keep containment on his run block. Quinn is VERY good at both.
What's the motivation for OP singling out TQ for transfer?

Does OP actually attend games in person and watch the WR's run their routes? Quinn was open on most of the plays he was in.

Just didn't have a QB that could find him and get him the ball.

He would have had double the catches if Mett would have been here.

Let me reiterate: I don't want him to leave. Seems like a great kid and I hope he flourishes here.

Just the spring game, I know, but he had the one catch for 5 yards while the three I mentioned were targeted a lot. I believe his lack of touches will be on our QB's, not his talent.

Big NO!

Recalled this article LINK,
my impression he is a real Tiger with the right attitude.

I believe we don't need to entertain this idea at all.

Had ton of hype in the recruiting process and I know he has talent, but I wonder if he'll be lost in the depth chart his entire career. Dural is probably gone after this season, but Dupre, Diarse, and the emergent Chark will more than likely get the majority of the targets the next couple of seasons.

He just hasn't put it all together yet. Reminds me a little bit of Jarvis Landry when he first stepped on campus. You could see the bits and pieces in Landry's game as a freshman, but he just hadn't been able to put it all together to make an impact like his fellow freshman.

Quinn may never be a game changer while on the same team as guys like Dupre, but given all the talents he brings to the table, it would be foolish to bet against him making a real impact.

Jarvis Landry

Was primarily a ST player his freshman year, but dang, did this team have a bad case of the drops the next year.

I am sure he has second thoughts about when he was the #1 target on other schools recruiting boards, more pass friendly offenses, but the truth is that he LOVES Louisiana and the people (even those that have chosen to be fair weathered), and he chose LSU because it is home.

You do NOT become one of only two WR to be 1st team Parade All-American, as well as the all-time leading receiver in high school football history, without having great skills. He came to LSU and started as an 18 year old (he could have still been a senior in high school) true freshman, you do not do that if you fear competition. He will be fine!

I also think people are over stating how much time Dupree will be in the slot.

He will still be the starting outside WR. They will just give him slot opportunities throughout the gam

I agree with this. I think Chark gets on the field but it will be situational. The usual sets will still be Dural and Dupree with Quinn in the slot.

No, he started most of the year as a true freshman and from all accounts he has been working harder than anyone this offseason. He will be fine.

He hasn't fully caught on as a 3rd/4th option. What makes you think he would thrive as a first option lined up against the opposition's best CB.

He's right where he needs to be.

Umm no....

He was 2nd in the team in catches as a true freshman, but sure he's gonna have a hard time seeing the field the rest of his career

Quinn got open A LOT last year and had a series of really bad drops in critical situations that killed drives in big games at the end of the season. That is a mental issue and is all on Quinn.

He has all the tools to be great. It is up to him how well he does here, which would be the case anywhere else too.

Dural is gone after this year. Then, you have Dupre, Diarse, Quinn, Chark and the new WRs coming in who have not proven anything yet.Quinn as as much of a shot as anyone.

This is a dumb thread. I am tired of expecting FRESHMEN to be perfect and to start or we have to worry about them transferring. I am excited to see what Quinn will do as a Junior and Senior here.

I've repeated this a bunch, but it's not really about his skill as far as his opportunities, and the people who I feel are going to get most if not all of the targets unless our QB play vastly improves.

I don't want to pile on a freshman but his main contribution last year was to take looks away from a very effective John Diarse. Quinn has plenty of time to develop into a legendary Tiger but at this point, there's no way he should be playing ahead of JD.

He will transfer this year from the bench to the field. That's about it....

Hold on playa. Clemson is loaded at WR, and they just keep bringing in more. They pretty much have the exact same situation over there (albeit they are more set at QB).

Williams, Peake, Scott, and Hopper are 4 returnees of their top 5 leading WRs from 2014. He would be the fourth at best WR over there in 2015 as well. Then they bring in the 5 star #2 WR in Deon Cain just like we bring in the 5 star #5 WR in Tyron Johnson. He's going go have to work his arse off at both places.

Unless you are on a pass happy offense (450+ attempts) the fourth leading WR will have at most 350-400 yards.

He could get passed up, but Diarse could as well.
