Absolutely LSU is a serious contender. it won't matter what happens tomorrow. Lose tomorrow and beat Bama and you will still mostly control your destiny. Losing to GA will just narrow the margin for error a bit. LSU has looked impressive thus far.

That will depend on the Chief and his boys.

From what I saw at the end of last year and the start of this year, the answer is we can be very good but not BCSCG material.

We'll learn alittle more tomorrow. There might be 2 undefeated teams outside the conference in december ex. clemson/FSU, oregon/stanford, ohio state. I think we have to go undefeated to win the NC this year.

This is said nearly every year, but I think it really applies this year. Louisville has a cakewalk in addition to the winners of the marquis matchups you mentioned.

Honestly right now I cant tell with any of the SEC teams right now... a lot (including our 2) are still working through some improvements by week 6 though there will be some clarity in the SEC picture

It will be interesting to see how good (or bad) the defense really is. That will tell how serious contenders we are.

Ask me around 7:15 EDT (figure CBS will drag out the broadcast at least that long).

The defense is a work in progress, but I'm not so sure Ga. is any better. Close game, high scoring I will take 1-0 victory.

I agree with the gump actually. This is the one game I think we can lose and make to the national championship because we'd more then likely get a rematch in the sec championship game.

Yes! A great showing and upset win in Athens, Ga. will put LSU in serious consideration for BCS title. A great showing and near upset win in Athens, Ga. will still put LSU in serious consideration for BCS title. Key is "great showing." They play well they will win! Just another Sat. in the SEC...... One at a time like 2011. NEXT! Geaux Tigers!
