Yeah. Didn’t think so.

Is it possible to support both Dale and Will? Why do we have to take sides? Dale created more energy around LSU Basketball than its ever seen. Stop being such a drama Queen trying to stir shite up.

Dale clearly wasn't Mr. Xs and Os and said as much, but he was nowhere close to the worst coach ever. Such a dumb comment. He actually did better a number of times with less talented teams. And that 11-seed he took to the Final Four is still tied for the lowest seed to ever make it that far.

Makes sense...if someone before you didnt reach their potential then people cant complain about you not reaching your potential.

Solid millennial mindset.

Dale had two final four appearances.

So far, Dale is so far ahead of Wade...

Dale Brown just about got LSU the death penalty. John Brady got the job when no one would take it.

Brady did a very good job IMO

Dale brown is the best basketball coach in lsu history. It’s not even close. A very positive personality and a good optimistic persona. His 86 team had one really good player. He willed that team to the final four. His 80 team was 30-3 going into the final four. He had a half dozen teams, including shaqs, that lost very close games, all to the eventual national champions. Get outta here with criticizing a great man and coach. I dare you to say it to Shaqs face.

Almost 30 years worth of data. Wade has FAR exceeded what Brown did before he started cheating with that ‘78 class. Hired HS coaches of recruits.

I was there when Press was fired. Since Dale didn’t win a National title and that is how we measure success at LSU, he isn’t.

You don’t have a clue about ‘86 with this asinine comment. ‘86 started EXACTLY like this team and was LOADED. Crap happened. Failing players,
Illness, etc. Williams was not the only “great player” on this team. Fundamentally Taylor, Redden and Blanton were as sound and had an extreme basketball In. Redden was lights out shooter.

He didn’t “will” anything. That team had chemistry because of everyone they lost during that season. For the record, 2022 is much like that season.

He was a massive cheater. Williams was the prize. He drove a nicer car than most executives today. He was found at the horse track before/during recruiting.

I was there. Saw it first hand.

If Brown was the LSU coach when Wade was hired and performed the way he did his first 5 years, he would have been run out of town 2 years ago.

I was in Philadelphia in ‘81.

It is well documented on the cheating that happened with Brown and yet he GROSSLY UNDERPERFORMED.

He let a number 13 seed Navy team with David Robinson beat the crap out of all of those “all Americans in the ROUND OF 64 as a 4 seed in ‘85.

Can you fricking imagine what it would be like on here if that happened today?

When you want to discuss everything LSU basketball from the 80’s when I had season tickets and attended every freaking game including both the final 4’s.

You want to talk about paying player for nothing? We can. Or how about all of the cars they drove? We can talk about that too.

How many tourney games has Wade won?

Wade has built a record on shitty non conference competition. Dale wasn't afraid of it.

I guess SEC games don’t count. And you’re comparing him to Miles and O in another thread. Where do you people come from

More accurately Dale didn't get caught on FBI wire tap saying "Strong arse offer" that has no context and the football team at the time did not get caught buying Harvey Williams an XJ12 Coupe and forcing Dale to take the fall for it.

This year. My comment was related to this year.

You were fooled by big wins vs terrible out of conference teams.

Whats the SEC record this year, with top 3-5 SEC talent?

So are you for or against cheating? You’re bitching about Dale cheating but defending Wade for cheating???

Would you just mother flucking stop with your bullspit?????

The only FAIR way to compare Wade and Brown are going year by year, and Wade MURDERS Brown in that regard.

If Wade stays 25 years like Dale, I'm CONFIDENT Wade will have a natty or two, and easily outperform Dale.

I grew up watching LSU basketball in the late 70s and 80s. I love what Dale did for our program, and am still HEARTBROKEN he never won a title. You are being disingenuous by knocking Wade when what he's done in his first 5 years embarrasses what Dale did in his first 5. Don't forget, it took Scott Drew EIGHTEEN YEARS to win a title at Baylor. Do you think Drew was underperforming during his first 17 years, and particularly his first 5?
