They shouldn't take him to the stadium, just let him stay in his digs.

Kids and I got to his cage around 1pm Sat, there was no Mike but a trainer in his cage picking up poo and she said they were trying to get him in the trailer(or at least that is what someone said). Well he didn't show in the stadium and did not show the whole day in his cage (at least from about 1:30 till after the walking down the hill parade) so the fans got zilch on seeing him on game day.

well there are 364 other days in the year you can go see him. sorry the jungle cat didn't do what you wanted him to do.

You know this is ultimately Les' fault. He's the coach, fire him.

They brought the cast of "Swamp People" to meet him, last I heard was someone was shouting "shoot him....shoot him.." in a Cajun accent. Dunno what happened.

Here's proof from Sunday.

Same experience. My 3 year old asked all morning to see the tiger so we walked all the way from highland and stadium around noon. no tiger in the habitat or the cage behind the habitat. 0-3 this year on him seeing the tiger on gameday. You would think they would have him on display, especially homecoming. As far as getting him into the cage, how bout just putting a 20 lb. ribeye in it. I'm sure he would jump right in.

Not a huge deal however, we can see a tiger at the zoo. He knows the tiger at the zoo is not Mike though

We were at the cage at 5:00--Mike was there just wandering about in his habitat.

Passed by his cage Friday night before the Basketball game. His traveling cage was backed up and opened onto his habitat. He was walking into and back out of his cage. I thought it seemed like a good solution to get him acclimated to his cage.

I guess it didn't work Saturday.

ETA: you wanna watch football come to LSU, if you wanna see a tiger go to the damn zoo

The fans bitch about everything. We should have beaten everyone we've played by 30 points or more. We should have beaten ULM 72-0. We should have beaten Auburn. We should have forced Mike out into the cage so you could look at him.

Some fans just have high expectations....

There have been rumors floating around that Mike's dad solicited money from Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, so they held him out to be on the safe side.

It has often been said that when opposing players first visit LSU -- one of the surprises they get is coming out of their locker room and bammmm - there is Mike the Tiger staring them down.

Now nobody really believes LSU is going to turn a tiger lose on the opposing players... but it does make an impression.

Case in point --- last week I was in Hawaii -- went to a golf course and a guy asks, "Copper Mill golf club - where's that?" (it was on my shirt) -- so I say, just outside Baton Rouge, LA.... he says, I played football for WY and played at LSU twice. I asked, "was it a good experience, playing at LSU?" -- He says, "we'll the first time it shocked the hell out of me when I walked out the locker room and there was a tiger there to greet us"....
