Well we still have Garrett, Beckwith, and Feist who are pretty big to supplement the smaller guys. I think everyone realizes that LB is at dire straits right now and anyone who could step up into that role should.

I'm pretty sure he weighs more than that. I thought that was his weight coming out of high school? I kind of had the feeling he would be moving to linebacker when he was in high school. He definitely has the frame for it I believe it to be a brilliant move.

He will probably just be a special teams standout this year. 2016 is where the real issue at LB lies. He weight should be fine at that point.

Awesome. If he can put on a little bit of weight and play like Kwon did itll be well worth it.

You can't say that it's basketball and baseball season. Save that for football season.

It would be great if Devin could get to about 220 and maintain his current speed. This move gives him a chance to contribute sooner.

I can MultiTiger.

I like the move with DV. Maybe creative solutions to a perceived slim stable of LBs will make our defense very flexible.

Could be a good move. He got huge in just 1 summer with us.

Went from this:

To this in just 1 summer:

Not to mention he's a bad arse, tough, hard nosed kid. Both of his parents work at Angola prison. Read this awesome interview with him: LINK

Huge Voorhies fan

He was a special teams standout towards the back end of the season last year. He will def be a special teams standout at the least. He could play his way into the rotation at LBer this coming season. Especially considering we havent seen him play LBer yet. He's a great athlete, coming out of H.S he could have played Safety, CB, or WR at the next level, and has already added great weight and mass in just 1 Summer here.

He could turn into a very very good LBer considering his level of athleticism and how much weight he's already added on.

I agree. Plus he actually did play OLB his senior year. Spent the majority of his defensive snaps there. Could be a playmaker at linebacker

Wasn't Ryan Baker about 210 lbs when he first started on special teams?

Good. He's a sophomore and LSU's depth at LB is thin.

Look up Eric Alexander.

About the same size and asked to take the same role. It worked out well from him.

Yep. Could be an impact LB. We really need to get some pressure from the LB position and he could do that at least on passing downs this year.

I saw this move happening months ago. This is another reason why I think they will get 3 safeties in the 2016 recruiting class.
