Yep...

He could be a good safety, but he's got a high ceiling at LBer. If he can get up to 220lbs by next year, I would expect him to get into the rotation.

He's a very good football player, just gotta find a position for him on the field.

Yea he played in 8 games last year, mostly on special teams.

He was the 1 that forced Speedy Noil to fumble when we played TAMU.

He put up ridiculous stats while playing on both sides of the ball. I'm talking Vince Young in the Rose Bowl type stuff, while also standing out on defense.

He was 210 towards the end of the year. Now up to 221. Has put on 11 pounds of muscle since November 20. Moffitt doing work. This kid could be a beast. Has that nasty streak in him on the field. Great move to LB!

If hes really up to 221lbs, thats impressive. If he can get up to 230ish lbs by fall... look out.

we were so thin at LB.
We find it absolutely hard to believe that there was not one single high school linebacker in the State of Louisiana that was deserving of a football scholarship to LSU. (Not one in any other state either)

If he is 220-225, he'll be just fine.
Kid's an athlete...

We find it absolutely hard to believe that you are dumb enough to equate no linebackers signing to no one was deserving of a scholarship to LSU. LSU extended 15 offers to linebackers in the 2015 class. Don't be an idiot your whole life.

Yeah he'll be good to go by Fall. More than 5 months until first Game. He could be up 230+ by then.

230 might be asking to for too much w/o impacting his speed...

No it's not. He's already up to 221lbs.

And he said he was bigger and didn't lose any speed in the fall... And even if he's slowed down a little, he would still be a very fast LBer and in the high 4.5s low 4.6 range.

Could be very similar to Kwon Alexander, but a smoother athlete in coverage with better hips considering he was a former safety.

I doubt a few more pounds of muscle will make him go from a very fast LB to a slow LBer.

Can he fend off the blocks and can he tackle is all that matters....

He's one of those guys people say are just straight "football players". He has a nose for the ball, very tough, very fluid, and a good all around athlete. Not a combine freak, but good at everything he's tried on the field so far in his life.

If he is at 230 I could see him being a very, very good LB.

ETA
to answer your question, he is a great tackler on special teams and sheds blocks very well.
