Ducre >>>>>>>>>>>>> Williams

I agree, but don't think he takes his carries this year yet.

Ducre is going to be a fricking stud though. He's coming into freshman year the same size as Copeland, yet he has track speed and experience running and catching the ball.

That's crazy to think about.

I think Guice will be number three and eventually number two with Williams as the late-game hammer

Just what I was coming to post.

I like the "late-game hammer" analogy. His ability to do this, and using him his way, makes him valuable to the team now and to himself for the future

DWill is LFs primary backup and listed as the #2 RB, but Guice will get more touches. And it's mainly because Guice has a different skillset than our other RBs and will be stepping into that Magee role.

Guice will be #2 RB before long. Embrace it guy.

I remember this same type of back and forth preseason discussion about Fournette last year. Cream rises to the top just like it did with Jeremy Hill.

So my question is will Ducre be a RB or FB for us? Or will he be both?

Now with backs half as talented averaging 16-18 carries in the miles era

Are you saying HIll was not as talented as Fournette? That's crazy talk

I do agree with the sentiment that DW is a beast of a RB

Wanted to bump for the guy giving me a hard time because I said LF would get 22-25 carries a game. I know it's only one game, but they have said they want him to get 20-25 a game and look at how many touches he had against state.

Yea I was wrong or will be wrong about how many the other backs get but me and him were debating about miles allowing one back to get 22 plus carries a game.

DW is clearly the second back as of now and I don't see this changing against Auburn.

The way DW moved the pile of defenders hanging on him had the ESPN game callers wowed. Hawthorne said "Williams! And he's met at the line, stacked up by Bulldog defenders. Gain of 7" LOL

Yes he did! He should have gotten more touches, but they wanted LF to go at it. LSU is a team loaded with NFL caliber players everywhere at all positions. I still say them passing first is the way to go because they have all kinds of talent at the WR positon. Harris and those guys need to develop a relationship and start clicking passing wise. Teams love to stack the box now because they know what LSU wants to do. Pound it out! But if Cameron and Miles would start letting Harris air it out instead of holding back his potential, these opposing teams would be scared as hell because they wouldn't know when Fournette or Williams will get the ball. They would run wild on them.

but they need to take the reins off Harris and let him play. Yes, he's going to make mistakes, but that is all part of the game. He'll learn from those mistakes, but you cannot continue to use this kid like this with this much talent. Pretty soon him and the talented receivers will start to get frustrated as hell.

You're in here claiming Miles is going to alter his entire philosophy when it comes to RB carries and I'm the tool?

He changed it for this first game didn't he? Just sayin. You are arguing what history says which is valid yet you could be wrong. Fournette is already ahead of the curve.
