That will be the case as long as CJJ remains HC.

Shut the frick up, Dale. Your shitty protege and all of you who pressured the AD to hire his unqualified arse did the injustice.

Great job Dale. First we have our governer telling all the world about LSU's worst-case, doomsday financial scenarios, and now we have Dale blaming the LSU SID for doing its job -- promoting LSU athletics.

(Sarcasm on) Because if LSU hadn' promoted Simmons then no one would have known he was projected as the first pick in the NBA draft, and no one would have noticed what a poor coaching job JJ did. Sure, I see the point. Its the same thing as blaming a bank for having money when someone is caught robbing it.(Sarcasm off)

Did Paul ask Dale why he sold his soul to Lester Earl, and why Dale's last several seasons as the HC were terrible?

Dale Brown = Bobby Knight's bitch

Dale & Johnny: The only tag team so formidable they were able to tank the same basketball program twice.

John Brady worked small miracles with the destruction Dale left in his wake. Brady was vilified because he refused to kao tao to Dale. Dale finally exerted enough pressure to get someone in the seat that would kiss his arse and the program is in rough shape again.

I don't think anyone would question Brown's commitment to college basketball and the kids who play the sport. I'm surprised that he is not railing against the real injustice. College basketball is currently structured where coaches must sign so called "student athletes" (who will be on campus for about 6 months) in order to remain consistently competitive. Brown should spend his considerable energy on changing the "one and done".

Nick Saban seems to keep his team focused no matter the crazy distractions while having superstars to handle

And it is so funny coming from Brown himself considering how he did everything to promote the program in his days.

Brown is just sticking up for the guy he wanted in the coaches seat.

All due respect to dale, but the good ole boy system is over. Take your goons and check out please.

A new era of LSU basketball is needed.

Not at all. Brady was vilified because he ran off an incredible amount of players, never had a full roster (and blamed his struggles on a lack of depth), struggled to recruit guys worth a shite that Collis didn't bring to him, took a dump on the 2007 season, never learned how to bust a zone, and to top it all off, he was abrasive as shite and didn't take criticism well.

on 104.5 they played the clip of dale talking to finebaum and he comes off as complaining about the program promoting LSU. it's petty and childish for him to complain about LSU basketball actually hyping up it's product. and guess what? it worked. LSU was ranked at the beginning of the season.

Dale Brown complaining about the program being enthusiastic about it's players and trying to get fans excited about it is some straight up contradictory, hypocritical bullshite coming from Dale.

This all goes back to the biggest problem with our coaching search, the old guard time and again puts their "guys" ahead of the program. It can't be Dale's guy's fault. Must be the program's fault. Before it was the practice facility. It was the sanctions.

In fact, the only time it was someone's fault (and not the program's) is when Trent was at the helm. Then it was his fault. Collis acted spurned. No one had any problems pointing the finger at sweater vest's behind.

Dale is just protecting JJ who he shoved down LSU's throat and now we are stuck with him. Dale looks as dumb as he did when he was coaching because JJ should be coaching D2 basketball or should be back at UNT. JJ blew it with Simmons because he had no idea how to coach him or use him.

Exactly, it's easier to put up with people if they are winning.

Sort of off topic, but I just heard JP Piper got shite-canned at Nicholls. Might be a nice landing spot for David Patrick to start his head coaching career.

Best thing for LSU is to be polite to, but otherwise ignore the wisdom of Dale Brown.
His heart is in the right place, but as usual, Dale is outmatched in every environment but BB recruiting.
He has done damage for the last time, unless we are hopelessly stupid.
Treat him with respect. But pay no more attention to him than is absolutely required by good manners.
