want you to not blame the scheme. He wasn't a good pass rusher, bottom line. Other players have been productive in it rushing the passer.
Exactly.

doesn't? So Chavis produced two of the best pass rush seasons in our history, and it is irrelevant because folks say it is and is scheme
You have to realize that this site is full of dumb asses that read something on here and then post it as if its fact.

Support him you nit-picking spoiled fans.
yes he is going to get paid, just not as much as a pass rusher would get paid.
quote:how is it not supporting him. My kid is slow, he gets it from his Dad...acting like he isn't is just being stupid. It has nothing to do with loving or supporting him, it is a reality.

Seems a lot of LSU fans have convinced themselves of superiority at almost every position, thereby the only reasonable conclusion for these fans is poor coaching led to decreased production...it leads to a miserable fan base with the constant hand wringing.

Just my 2 cents, but sometimes coaching is the reason for lack of production. I don't think you can call 14 tfl unproductive and useless though

i think he was visually more intimidating than he actually was

I got bashed for saying he would run in the 4.5 range. Hunter was excellent against the run, but was not the pass rusher people expected him to be. That 40 time is all the NFL cares about for a 3-4 OLB.

He led the team in tfls and 3rd in tackles for the #1 defense in the sec.

I hate our delusional fan base if you think he produced this year. How many sacks did he have?

try 1982.
How about you try again. That's the NFL. The NCAA didn't recognize sacks as an official stat until 2000. That's why Terrell Suggs holds the record for most sacks in a career and season despite despite Derrick Thomas having more in both categories.

Sacks arent the end all be all measurement of a d lineman.
His 74 tackles ranks 7th in the country and 2nd in the sec among dlinemen
He was 1st on the team for tfls. If you think thats unproductive, youre crazy

sacks have been recorded since the early 80s, doesn't matter if they were officially recognized or not. That is besides the point
There's a reason people know Derrick Thomas had 27 sacks in a season. Cause teams recorded them.
