Sound about right uproven QB inexperience at corner and linebacker. Right behind the last team to beat us. I do not see how OUs defense can improve egough from last year to justify them at number one however.

Is there every a more overrated team than OU? They are always someone's pick for the MNC game and they always seem to lose some stupid game (or a few). Maybe FSU lately...it's like they are just put there if for nothing else to create drama during the season.

The logic behind that ranking is due to us having a new QB going on the road to Arky, Florida, A&M and Auburn. I understand that everyone here thinks that our hearts have been washed clean because of the blood Mett shed on the cross, but if you look at it objectively, we have a QB with little to no significant playtime in the SEC on a team where QB's aren't exactly considered "stellar".
Oklahoma has a heisman candidate at QB with a star receiver and USC may even have better stars at those positions (although their lack of depth on defense may come back to bite them in the arse).
If LSU was ranked 1,2 or 3 I'd think that's fair considering the talent OU and USC are putting out on the field this year. Bama is not better than we are this year, they just aren't. That's probably the only point I disagree with him on.
All irrelevant anyway. We win the SEC, we go to the title. Plain and simple.

This ranking isn't unreasonable.
1) Mettenberger has talent but no game experience.
2) Washington early in the year is going to be a tough game.
3) Michael Brockers and Claiborne are going to be tough to replace.
