Read an article that said he broke 6 tackles and took it to the house during a scrimmage. Many of you read the same. Anyone who saw him play in high school knows he runs like marshawn Lynch. Could the backfield end up being a 50/50 split?

If he is that good then I would love for them to split carries.

It will be like Barry Sanders at Oklahoma State behind Thurman Thomas. He will get just enough experience to refine his game until he is ready to destroy defenses in '17.

Finally someone agrees with the Lynch comparison.

Marshawn Lynch and Adrian Peterson clones on the roster

No but if he can get blocking schemes down he could be our 3rd down back with his hands. He overtakes Williams as #2 back but LF is special and gets his 20 touches. I do believe if harris can just do better on 3rd down than AJ we can ride out backfield to Atlanta. We will have a good defense that won't be shell shocked like we were last year vs msu and aubbie. We win both. I'm more worried about Bama arky and ole piss

Im a huge fan of Guice... And no he will not take LFs job. At all. For as much athletic and physical ability Guice has, LF has much more and is on a different level.

I love when people compare Guice... Some people think he's like Marshawn Lynch, while others think he's like Barry Sanders. Ones a physical beast that runs over players and is extremely tough to biting down, and the other 1 is a shifty, shake and bake type of player who can make people miss with agility and quickness. They are 2 players with completely different running styles

You don't have to be 1 or the other. Guice is a very strong RB who is a violent runner and refuses to go down, and he's also extremely explosive and has a lot of moves and can make people miss with ease and score from anywhere on the field.

And to me, Guice reminds me of Cadillac Williams at Auburn. Similar in size and running style. Cadillac was a monster that was very physics and tough to bring down. He would run through people between the tackles. And he was very explsiive and had the ability to make people miss in space and could score from anywhere on the field. Guice is very similar to that.

We are very lucky to have 2 RBs like LF and Guice on the same team. Special players and will be a nasty 1-2 punch for defenses to deal with.

Of course he can take it. As soon as Leonard declares for the draft.

I think Guice is much more powerful than Cadillac. Guice mows over guys and breaks tackles without having any momentum. His spin move is a nightmare for defenders and you cannot arm tackle him at all. What makes lynch special is his vision and balance and Guice is very similar in that aspect. I think he'll be like a more physical Nick Chubb.

We should just get it over with and run the Notre Dame box from the '40's. No QB needed.

I think he will get his fair share of carries this year. Miles has always known that the NFL RB that had less carries in college usually has a longer career. Today's RB's get this as well. Guice runs so violently... I cannot wait to see this kid.

I personally think Guice is more fluid and flexible than Fournette. Fournette still has a lot to prove to say his job cannot be taken.

I agree. It's going to be fun watching them both.

When you say "take his job" I am going to assume you mean get more carries throughout the season. To that, I answer no.

There will be times he plays and Fournette watches, but it won't be because Guice assumed his role on the team. As long as Fournette is healthy and on the team (and in good standing), he will be the bell cow of the backfield.

Not to the people who actually make those decisions he doesn't.

In the Miles era LSU has not had one RB avg 20 carries per game. Not once. Not Ridley, Hester, Scott, Ware, etc...nobody. He wants a committee back there and he will with Fournette as well. Fournette was on a workload at St. Aug and one of the reasons he chose LSU with his eyes on the NFL was a shared load.

The job is his and although he may get the majority and be the workhorse in some of the more important SEC games, Guice Brosette and Williams will carry big loads in non SEC games and in garbage time (as they should).
