I realize all that but if his vision and instincts were as top shelf as his physical abilities he'd have been at 7 ypc easy. That's what I saw anyway, got a lot better towards the end

Spare me the generational talent speech, he was good but he's got a ways to go before we retire the #7

Fournette was good last year but not the second-coming of Adrian Peterson.

Fournette's 5.5 ypc was tied for 65th in the nation. By comparison, last year Magee was 5.1, Hilliard was 5.0, and Williams was 4.7. So all were within a tight range.

Yes, I admit Fournette got better as the season went on and has power and straight-line speed, but I don't see the "generational" talent yet. Maybe he'll show us this year. I hope he does.

Regardless, he's a good back and I'm glad to have him. Just not buying the massive hype yet.

this and Guice is such a vastly different type of back than Fournette and Williams if he turns it on he could easily get a lot of touches.

Jesus guys. Look I love Guice too but can we take a step back and chill before we make claims that our 3rd string RB is better than one of the better SEC RB's of the 2000's?

That isn't what he said

Fournette still has a lot to prove to say his job cannot be taken.

Really?

Guice has great vision and wiggle. Guy will make you miss and can also lower a Lynch shoulder and plow you. And not to mention he is top 5 fastest player on the team and has great hands.

He's going to turn some heads. And break some ankles.

I really think he has as high of a ceiling as Leonard. Leonard is such a fantastic young man and hard worker, which is something I don't know about Guice yet. We will see, but he has the talent to be very special. Leonard will be the main guy this year, but Guice will be #2 very soon. He is the perfect compliment to Fournette IMO.

He said Guice was much more powerful than Cadillac

One of Cadillac's best attributes was his power (which is why he faded so quick in the NFL). Doesn't take a genius to put 2 & 2 together

uh, just quoting facts here.

What's Yeldon got to do with this conversation? But if you want me to respond, I'll say that I don't think Yeldon is a great back either. Good but not great. And he fumbles too much, which I know is irrelevant to this topic, but is true nevertheless.

Point is that him being ranked 65th in the nation in ypc is pointless.

There were a bunch of QB's on that list with a higher ypc than LF. Does that make them better ball carriers?

I would look at the bright side. We will have Fournette for 2 more seasons at worst. Guice for 3. That is fricking awesome when you think of the talent we have in our backfield. That's not including the rest of the crew.

Fire and Ice..

Fournette burns their arse, and Guice freezes their nuts off.

Fournette had a great year with almost zero threat of a passing attack.

Why not split back with both in shotgun?
