If LSU's 2010 offense could score 24 points, there's no reason to think that this 2011 offense couldn't put up more. Lee has looked in-control and very accurate for most of this season.

In the 2008 matchup, Lee as a redshirt freshman was able to lead the offense to 21 points despite 4 interceptions. You could argue that 'Bama's defense in 2008 was much better than 2011, and LSU's offense 2011 offense with Jarrett Lee as a 5th-year senior is far better than the 2008 offense.

It's going to be a great game. With several NFL-caliber players all over the field, expect an NFL-like score.

No one in Alabama, particularly the football players,is "smarter" than anyone else around.

Guy needs to stick to cheering for the Aints.

Because last year we scored 24 pts against Bama with an offense that couldn't score in a whorehouse.

This year's offense is much better.

Football is an emotion driven game. Coaching is as much about motivation as it is about teaching technique, strategy and X's and O's. I don't think the Alabama staff has a clear advantage over the LSU staff in any of those things. I have a DAMN STRONG confidence that Les Miles is a better motivator than Nick Saban. And I can't believe that I am saying that LSU has an advantage at QB with Jarrett Lee....but the fact of that matter is that the trials and tribulations that he has gone through since 2008 have prepared him well for this moment....and if Bama handles UF handily on the road this week, in all likelihood, McCarron will never once have dealt with any considerable adversity prior to the LSU game on November 5th. THAT will be a huge factor in a game that could very likely be determined by which of the QB's makes the fewest mistakes against 2 great defenses.

Lsu 's D will cause a turnover in Bama territory for one. 2nd We have better QB play than Bama.

3rd Our running game is better. Bama relies on just one player on offense. Shut down richardson and the game is LSU'S to lose.

Why is Cowturd not discussing this game? Florida can win that game. They have as much talent as either Lsu or bama and this will be McArrons first sec road start.

Gee, he's right, we never win in Alabama.

He's going with the crowd on this one. Les is doing alright, even without $$$$$'s players.

LSU ain't exactly shooting itself in the foot with penalties, and I have yet to see LSU play-half speed on any play this year.

Home site is only advantage for bama.

Let them think they have better coaching - particularly after last year.

We all know Miles outcoached bama last year AND bama gave up a 24 point lead, AT HOME, to their hated rival.

I don't see that happening to Miles / Chavis.

bama will be somewhat exposed by Florida this week. Watch the penalties there.

BUT - it is agreed that the refs will be "all up in" bama for the big home games.

Statistical fact.

This is where your intelligence is questioned. Bama hasnt played anyone capable of running the ball. Lsu always has run the ball on bama.

Good point. LSU is only 10-4 vs Alabama in Alabama since 1982.

Eh,maybe. But just by a nose.

1. LSU has been tested thoroughly and has passed easily.
2. We have TM7 and there is no equivalent to that.
3. Miles has Saban's number, it took some help from the refs to beat us last time in Tuscaloosa.

the game is in 2 months? Why predict now, that's worthless... oh wait, it's the media, right. Nonstop 24/7 stream of consciousness blather is their job.

They do not have Tyrann Mathieu who will make plays against their offense. They are very sound but I don't see the playmakers as much as we have. Cowherd is just tough to listen to. Sometimes he makes sense, sometimes you're like WTF? after listening to him.

No. 2 was said last year.

No. 3 seems debateable but I don't have the stats to back it up.

No. 1 is obviously true, and honestly, if you look at history officiating is clearly favorable to the home team--not sure how to dispute that. However Auburn 2010 seems to break the streak of shaft jobs in the state. I don't see fan noise etc. to be as much an issue as the officiating.

Comparing the two is largely speculation at this point. A lot can happen over the next 4 games for both teams. Toss up
