That damn purple kool-ade of Coach O's is so numbing, I can't even express outrage over your post!

I see teams stacking up their rosters 2 sometimes 3 deep with real talent at the QB position. There is no reason LSU can't be one of those.

There's no reason LSU can't be like Ohio St, with 3 legit starters.

The only reason Leslie never gave meaningful snaps to the backup QB was that, outside of the 2011 season, LSU's offensive system virtually guaranteed that the game would still be in doubt no matter the opponent in the 4th quarter.

One of the most frustrating things about Miles. Instead of keeping his foot on the pedal and driving a stake through the hearts of inferior opponents, he'd go ultra conservative with a lead and, all too often, allow them to stay in the game.

Brennan will get some snaps.
I said this before.
Do not be surprised if he we have qb rotation. Etling is the starter for now.

You cant be that naive, esp re: Canada's freedom on personnel decisions. All three statements above are sloppy troll jobs.

Have you ever...ever seen an OC name the starting QB? I haven't.

Canada tells O who he wants, and O announces it. Simple as that.

I complained about backup QB snaps for most of CLM's tenure. Thats the one position he could not keep going for a number of reasons and it ended up ending his stay. Just waiting for season to start to see how new OC is going to utilize our weapons.

One of the reasons why Jimbo Fisher left earlier after the '06 season when he had a few more good years left before taking on a P5 head coaching position. Anyone remember those games in '06 when LSU was up big and Matt Flynn and Ryan Perrilloux handed off the ball almost 100% of the time in the 4th quarter? That was unbelievable.

The backup QB last season was in the dog house with O

Wait. You think a reason that jimbo left was because les wouldn't let the back ups throw when the game was in hand? I'm gonna call bullshite on that one.

Coach O admitted that he was a control freak when he was coaching at Ole Miss, but it was through that experience where he learned not to interfere with his coaching staff. He was able to be a better coach at USC where he put that new found knowledge into practice.

May be a three way QB rotation at times, this place will go
shite crazy like apes in a forest, I can already imagine the melt on TD.

His coaching decisions at times infuriated many fans, his style of offense became very boring.

I see. So you are assuming that those statements mean that Canada has freedom? Ok.

Perhaps someone could point me to all these successful teams and coaches who--with an entrenched starter who is healthy--allows their backups to come in and throw the ball with the game undecided in order to prepare them for the next year. I submit it doesn't happen nearly as often as some of you have convinced yourselves it does. If ever. But by all means, prove me wrong.

First of all, Coach O is saying these things in pre-season. We haven't played a game yet.

So let's see if Brennan or Narcisse get actual game action against BYU while it's still a close game. I'd love to see Brennan (if he is truly the #2) come in and get a series or two in the 1st half.

If Brennan is the heir apparent, we need to get him in some real action this year.

Also, Coach O is allowing his coordinators to run the show now, and he did last season too. I believe he will stick to this until / unless he feels he can't.

Most coaches revert back to what they know, what they're comfortable with.
