I complained about backup QB snaps for most of CLM's tenure. Thats the one position he could not keep going for a number of reasons and it ended up ending his stay.

Just waiting for season to start to see how new OC is going to utilize our weapons.

miles took keys away from gary after JJ could not run his O in 2009. we went to Bo Scembechler ball in 2010. it is well known. i talked to an O lineman who informed me ahead of time how things were changing. he was right.

false. it was still miles ball. Did you not see cam's comments? OBJ, JL, ZM and JH made that work in spite of the style.

You can't put in the backup for experience when you are only up one score and need to move the chains to bleed clock.

We played a LOT of lesser teams post 2011 where the backup QB should have gotten snaps.

This doesn't have to happen. This also needs to change at LSU. Brennan could play for 2 years, go pro, then Lowell takes over his senior year lights it up then goes pro. Then we would have a Sophomore or Junior waiting in the wings ready to go.

I do understand the guys that just aren't going to play at all but a guy like Lowell could play a role. If Brennan gets hurt he's there, or if not he can come in on GL situations until it's his turn to take over. Meanwhile we play him whenever the games decided or say Brennan is having a bad day. These guys need to start sticking it out at LSU. I see teams stacking up their rosters 2 sometimes 3 deep with real talent at the QB position. There is no reason LSU can't be one of those.

I'm not denying that we weren't running the offense Cam usually runs. I'm just saying the play calling wasnt the same the entire time.

O stated that he was letting his coaches coach. It would be down right stupid to bring in a Coach like Canada and then tie him up with interference.
He is going to let the man earn that big salary.
then why is Canada saying that he is getting them all ready just waiting in Os decision

How much playing time did the backup QBs get in the blowouts under O? I ask this because I don't even remember seeing them much then.

Which backups last year should have gotten playing time? The two that will probably end up transferring or the two who hadn't even arrived on campus yet?

Out of respect for the boss, Coach O's still the CEO, so he will make the final call. But make no mistake, if the millionaire off. cord. Canada, feels the need or want to call a certain scripted play or list of scripted plays utilizing whichever QB, Coach O has made it known from past lessons learned, he won't interfere.

I don't think we burn two red shirts, even if the top three play. I don't think the third string guy is a freshman.

Also you anti O people are as insufferable as the anti trump people. I'm not even a "pro-O" guy per se, but give the guys a chance. You people are outright cheering for him to fail.

So Etling would not have helped vs Wisconsin ?

If only clock management were better for the Auburn game.........

Canada said the qb decision was Orgerons.

Les played the back ups. And I suspect if we are in a close game, your not going to go all QB carousel.
