Ross Dellenger, Scott Rabalais, Charles Hannigriff, Alan Risher, Vern Lundquist, Gary Danielson, and Bert Jones. These are just a few of a long list of sports athletes and their analysis, who questioned over the years why Les Miles would not allow significant snaps for his back-up QB's at LSU.

Coach O plans on allowing three LSU QB's to receive significant snaps in 2017, if the opportunity presents itself. And unlike Miles, Coach O has given his top off. coordinator Canada complete freedom, and Canada appears to be making great use of such freedom, he's already scripted plays for all 3 of LSU's QB's for 2017.

No opportunity will be wasted to improve LSU's offense. It's going to be great year!

The only thing more hilarious than you thinking they've scripted the season for 3 QBs is you thinking Orgeron doesn't have any input on who plays or doesn't play.

So, Coach O is going to burn two redshirts this year at the QB position? That's a bold move there cotton.

How much playing time did the backup QBs get in the blowouts under O? I ask this because I don't even remember seeing them much then.

narcisse might get some goal line plays and i could see brennan getting mop up duty. i think he wants both guys to have snaps as one of them will be the starter next year.

ummmm.... the OP didnt say either of those things....

He said that Coach O was giving his OC freedom as in the freedom to call the plays as he sees fit. never said anything about not having input on who plays.

He also said that CMC had PLAYS scripted ofr all 3 QBs. Never said he has the season scripted.

Your reading comprehension needs work.

Also you anti O people are as insufferable as the anti trump people. I'm not even a "pro-O" guy per se, but give the guys a chance. You people are outright cheering for him to fail.

The only thing more hilarious than your ignorance is your lack of knowledge of the present and past LSU coaching staffs and their coaching habits.

The only reason Leslie never gave meaningful snaps to the backup QB was that, outside of the 2011 season, LSU's offensive system virtually guaranteed that the game would still be in doubt no matter the opponent in the 4th quarter.

You can't put in the backup for experience when you are only up one score and need to move the chains to bleed clock.

the play calling was different for each OC miles had. surely you don't believe we were running the same plays for the last decade. the offense was notably different from Jimbo to Crowton,Crowton to Stud, stud to cam.

It's also not a stretch that a defensive minded coacg would give his OC freedom. miles gave his DC freedom.

What I saw of Miles' coaching habits over the years, was of him taking more and more control of the LSU offense, there were numerous times LSU was ahead over Miles' tenure by multiple scores, yet Les Miles would wait untill the last minute, to put in his back-up. The Ole Miss game with a young Mettenberger is a perfect example.

Brennan was named the backup. The redshirt doesn't matter at this point. One will eventually transfer.

I always remember Miles comparing the offensive play calls to a menu. Basically insinuating that he was in control what the chefs cooked each game. It was so frustrating not seeing QB development listed on the menu for 9 years

If the back-up QB snaps are indeed significant, that may be enough to persuade LSU's back-up QB next year not to transfer.

Don't forget his premature fellatio for something that has yet to happen. Les used to say before every game they were gonna look to get the backup QB in the game. He may have even been sincere. But then the ball kicks and shite gets real. Winning the game becomes infinitely more important than preparing guys for next year. Coaches wind up getting conservative and no lead feels safe.

I like Orgeron. I think he'll be good. But let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet as they say. Especially over something that very well may not happen.

Sure he was, this is a coach who's favorite game was poker and favorite past-time was bluffing.

you people keep saying this, neither Narcisse or Brennan came to LSU to be here 5 years, if they dont pan out as the starter, they will hit the road. That is what QBs do now, 100%.

I dont want to save a redshirt to help UNC or TTU out down the road.

How many snaps did the backups under Coach O get last season, even in blowout losses? I don't recall any except when QB1 was hurt for a play or two.

Canada's backup QB played in 1 game last year when the first QB was hurt. Otherwise, he took a snap at the end of the Duke game (when Pitt was up by 40 points).

What makes you think our backup QB's will see any game time unless QB1 gets hurt?

he was sincere, but he only felt comfortable if we were 40 up with 2 minutes left and then he considered kneeling game experience.

big Les fan btw, but I am ready for the change.
