Your implication is that one should be happy if one’s expectations are exceeded. That’s nuts! The threshold, above which I define success need not be identical to what I predict.

BTW, I predicted 10-3 for 2018. I think the program is headed in the right direction, and I’m very surprised to be saying so. But please stop this nonsense that if one predicted 6-6 he must be happy with 10-3. It just ain’t so.

Hes a great O coordinator hire away from doing a great job..Briles, Applewhite, Freeze, Hueple, many better options than what we've got.

No doubt. It happens all the time.

What I'm getting at is that you must be able to develop a quarterback to have a competent offense and win. Jimbo and Mullen have clearly proven they can develop quarterbacks. Frank's look like a completely different person. Mond was clearly much better. On the flip side we all know Coach O has absolutely nothing to do with the quarterback position, and do you really believe our answer for developing quarterbacks was sitting as the tight end coach for years under Miles? I don't, and this will be the third year where Coach O doesn't hire quarterbacks coach.

ETA: and just to point it out you can't say muh Tom Herman like you love to. He beat the shite out of Georgia, beat Oklahoma in the regular season, and won the Sugar Bowl.

We have 11 SEC championships. 2 of them were before WWII

One in the 50s, one in the 60’s, one in the 70’s and 2 in the 80’s.

So five SEC championships in 43 years.

4 between 2001 and 2011 (that’s elite).

Perhaps it’s just matter of defining above average but to me, other than 2001 to 2012, we have been average.

Someone will somehow turn this into an O post because that’s what you do.

Agreed, LSU needs an innovative OC which is why I was behind Herman. O brought up E from TE coach, I think they should have gone outside of LSU for an OC or allowed Canada another year. Even if that meant people putting egos aside

Getting blown out by them after having 12 years to build a program is really not good.
Amazing what Freeze cheating cab do for a program, huh?
Miles is 7-4, or 64% vs OM and stacks up favorably next to Ed's 50% vs MSU, and 33% vs UF.
Miles has a better W% vs Bama than Ed has vs UF.

Again LSU is #12 all times in wins with a .652 winning percentage. LSU is closer to the top tier than the middle, the issue is LSU hasn't broken through enough. So yes, LSU is an above average program

The guy was taking up for you. Even he didn't think you were dumb enough to think I was saying Les got blown out by OM and Arky 12 years in a row.

Was he wrong?

I’m not sure why so many posters here are so angry all the time. Life is good. LSU is doing well in all the major sports

Why do so many of you conflate pointing and laughing at stupidity with anger?

He’s doing better than I expected, but I wouldn’t exactly call 10-3 a “helluva season” when 2 of our 3 losses could’ve been prevented if we had a half decent offense.
