Before the A&M game and any rumor of Chavis to A&M, didn't someone on here post on the RB about the coaches trying to discuss recruiting with Chavis in the war room and him getting belligerent and walking out? The dude tanked the whole year and Corey Raymond/Kendell Beckwith/Kwon Alexander bailed us the frick out.

-rant mode engaged-

I've never seen the defense more unprepared than they were going against Wisconsin. If it weren't for Wisky's DT getting knocked out and Tanner McEvoy playing more as a safety than QB then we would've lost the opener.

It was the same stuff in the Mississippi State and Auburn games too. Completely unprepared, outmatched, and outcoached. The offense was expected to be a steamy pile of crap but the defense was loaded and with veterans too.

There is definitely a good amount of bad blood b/w Chavis and LSU. Seems the bitterness preceded any contract negotiations in Dec that went sideways

I'll go you one better than that. Chavis knew he was leaving and he had to get the recruits back that aTm was losing in the previous weeks. It was not going to help his situation to have LSU win the bowl game and spring board in to preseason top ten rankings.

He took a dive and his immediate exit after the bowl game (did not leave with the team - went straight to aTm) was evidence enough for me.

So he threw the game on purpose??? Then he should be suspended... Or is there any proof he did???? No there is not.... The only way Chavis threw the game was to convince the players to do it.....Evidenty the players weren't trying then. I mean they had watched film of ND for weeks and they saw what ND was gonna do and just couldn't stop it...... So if you want to bash Chavis you must bash the players as well.......

He does call plays and coverages though. He has the ability to put his guys out of position.

Not going to say he necessarily threw the game on purpose, but he didn't seem to make many adjustments on the defensive side of the ball.

This may be the first time in 10 years that Miles is credited with the production of the defense.

So the rant has found someone to hate more than Miles? Somehow I don't think this will last long.

He should be so lucky. No, people are bashing Miles for allowing Chavis to continue coaching despite subpar results.

Miles forced Chavis to play Beckwith so I credit him to making the adjustments when Chief didn't

By the NCAA.. If he threw the game on purpose then he is messing with the integrity of the game... Ya see you people are bashing him so bad that it sounds like YOU think he threw the game into ND's favor.... But if he did ,then shame on the other coaches and players for letting him............

It is fair to think that Chavis may have made decisions in preparation for the Notre Dame game and during the game that were intended to impair LSU's recruiting.?

He started impairing LSU recruiting 3 years ago. Supposedly one of the best DC/LB coaches in the nation and only sign 2 LBs in 2 recruiting cycles? Linebackers should have been beating down the door, they wernt

Another question I have is how he stopped JFF in 2013 when our D struggled, but couldn't stop a true Frosh QB for ND? Or Dak, or Marshall we got raped up the middle last year

Shouldn't he be punished if proven true?????

A basketball player that throws a game would get punished....
Oh I see its ALL about you poor pathetic LSU fans who got jobbed by someone who was sick and tired of being overworked because of a shitty offense... Good for Chavis then that he got away with it..... Hes gone now so who cares....... AGAIN Miles is a fool for not seeing what was going on during the game and doing something about it.....

Unless it gets leaked that Chavis placed a bet on that game, the NCAA won't touch any improprieties that occurred.

What does Miles do? Break out the defensive playbook? He's an offensive coach.
