The whole point of having a committee was to ask questions such as, "ok, lsu lost 2 got a new HC lost to Bama by 10 and has dominated everyone else. Who, besides Bama looks as dominate as LSU? Would USC, Washington, Michigan, OSU beat LSU? Clemson, Louisville? " Even if you include a 2 pts loss to Wisconsin away after the flood or a 0.5 second lost to AUB. This committee is AP championship 2.0. The most heavily populated media dense areas get special treatment. Look at poll drops by lsu after Wisconsin and Bama versus OSU or A&M.

During the WSU game, Gilmore said that they committee talked about only dropping a&m 4 spots for losing to Bama because they were playing Bama. However, they dropped LSU 11 spots for losing to that same Bama team and was even more impressive. Inconsistent terms.

It was A&M's first loss at the time, it was LSU's third.

LSU will be ranked ahead of A&M Tuesday night.

Jesus some of you live in a vacuum.

I think they should have kept the BCS to determine the 4 playoff teams

That was bullshite, seeing LSU more spots in the ranking than the points difference between Bama. I think the committee is more interested in getting conference champions from weaker conferences in, rather than seeing two SEC schools every year because of the computer formulas.

I disagree. Might not be perfect, but it's still a step up.

Like the previous poster said. Why not just keep BCS system in place for top 4. It was always close for top 2. This is pretty much ALL human, which is why there is a major correlation in team popularity and ranking.

With losses to anyone any year you have no arguement. Case closed. If you wanted to wina nattty this year les should have been fired after 1/9/11

So Clemson should still go, Michigan and OSU and BAMA, even though they have looked terrible? Why doesn't LSU just go in dependant and play UABS all year then?

LSU has now played 3 games against teams that are over .500 against power 5 schools. They are 0-3 in those games and have scored a whopping 1 offensive TD

LSU has three loses. It begins and ends with that.

Flip the Wisconsin and Auburn loses to close wins and LSU is sitting on the precipice of the #4 seed with Louisville.

A loss in November should drop a team considerably to all besides LSU...Clemson, Washington. We dropped 17 in the first week. IMHO
