CFN's LSU vs Auburn Prediction

why Auburn will win.....
We still don’t know if LSU has a passing game. The McNeese State game was supposed to be when Brandon Harris and the LSU offense got its feet wet, but since that didn’t happen – avoiding the temptation to remark about how the game got all wet – the Mississippi State game had to be it to see what the air show could do. Harris wasn’t awful, hitting 9-of-14 passes, but they only went for 71 yards. The offense revolved all around Leonard Fournette and the ground game, and now Auburn can cheat up. The run defense has been okay, not great, allowing 238 yards and three scores to the Louisville ground game, and it did a better job than it got credit for against Jacksonville State. Last year Auburn stomped on the LSU ground game, and until Harris can make something happen through the air, it’s going to be a one-dimensional attack.

why LSU will win.....
Will the Auburn offense ever start to work? Jeremy Johnson has been a bit ragged so far – to put it nicely – and the ground game has been way too pedestrian. The LSU defensive front crushed everything Mississippi State tried to do, keeping its version of a ground attack – utilizing the spread – to 43 yards on 26 carries. This group was frothing at the mouth from the start, blasting into the backfield and coming up with several key stops. Johnson isn’t handling the pressure well so far, spraying his throws and struggling with his consistency. The Tigers – the AU version – will try to get the ball out of his hands in a hurry, and that’s where the speed of the LSU back seven kicks in. If they can wrap up, Auburn will turn into a true dink-and-dunk team, and without the gashes that normally make the attack fly.

whats going to happen.....
Auburn is better than it looked over the first two games, but LSU is going to put on a show. The offense will hum early, but the defense will have to hold on late as the AU Tiger ground game starts to find a bit of a groove. The LSU pressure in the backfield on Johnson will be the difference.
Auburn vs. LSU Prediction Prediction: LSU 26, Auburn 20, Line: LSU -7.5, o/u: 49.5

It seems they rarely do when favored in SEC games... anyone know the percentage?

The only chance Auburn has to beat LSU is Les Miles.

Sounds reasonable, but I don't know where Auburn is going to find 20 points if Johnson shits the bed again.

Auburn will not score 3 TD's on us in a Tiger Stadium.

One day soon Tiger fans will miss having a Les Miles. It is not automatic that LSU wins. I was in school during the Curry F'ing Hallman days. You want to talk about piss poor coaching.

Revenge game. In Baton Rouge.
Shoe on the other foot...AU's QB now making his first road start as "the guy."
Fournette was taunted by the AU DB.
The crowd is going to stay and not leave due
to an early kickoff.
Should be a raucous crowd.
