Living in Texas now, I can tell you that most of the casual, bandwagon A&M fans around here seem to remember Johnny Football and the Aggies beating us last year. They beat everyone last year.

To be fair... turnovers are what killed A&M last year. A&M had 2 fumbles and 3 interceptions.

To be more fair, one of those turnovers came on the last play of the game where it hurt A&M no more than an incompletion or just being tackled.

Oh my! I haven't had to deal with delusional Aggie fans since I moved out here (from Dallas) in 1991 but some things never change.

I recall watching their last possession and being really frustrated that they scored to being the score up to 24-19. Doubling them would have left a much better impression for us.

The way to contain him is ball control

I'm thinking our O will be able to do this against that D

562 yards (464 passing; 98 running)against a Sabin defense is just unbelievable.

Thanks for that insight ESPN.

If TAMU does not turn the ball over last year they beat us. No doubt. If Johnny Fooseball does not throw the pick in the end zone and then the pick 6 they beat Bama as well - Again. We must force him to make mistakes or he will put up 40 points on us at home. Fans and players must leave all out there and in the stands like Florida 2007.

it was a monster performance against an elite team and an elite coaching staff. anyone who does not understand the multiple complexities of Manziel in Sumlin's offense and Manziels inate ability to extend plays and create with his feet is a fool. we have time and Chavis on our side and thankfully we have an off week between McCarron and Manziel. no matter what, it will be tough.

get better, get ready...get even.

Did you see some of those passes that were thrown tho ? They were 50 yard rainbows that should have been batted away or picked . I get that his stats showed he had a great game but a ton of that yardage was flat out poor arse coverage on bamas part

That big aTm receiver did a really nice job with a subtle pushoff to create space just as the ball got there. It's a savvy Michael Irvin-type move. I wonder if they'll let him get away with it the rest of the year.

LSUs defense is a different animal than Bama's. LSU's is actually better equipped to contain a jack rabbit. BUT, it has issues against a Bama type offense.

Also, do remember that JFF threw a few jump balls up and got very lucky, so the stats don't necessarily indicate passing prowess.

LSU just has to limit his crazy leg yardage and play disciplined football. He will get his yards, but its the score the Chief will focus on.

I thought that was a big part of the game....takeaways.

IF JFF doesn't act like JFF then they win? I'm confused....

This is specious reasoning. TAMU runs a wide open, high risk offense. When it works they get goo-gobs of yards and points; when it's defeated it gets goo-gobs of yards and turnovers. Last year, against LSU, it was defeated, hence the turnovers.

Look at our stats when we played him last year. Report back.

You're an idiot. Go back and watch the game and see how "in control" aTm could have been with the ball. Some turnovers are simply created by the defense. Why can't some people appreciate that?

And if a frog had wings, well you know the rest. Turnovers are part of the game Nostradamus. If Jordan Jefferson was a QB, we would have won the MNC in 2011. At lot of IF's!!!!

This.

LSU got one lucky bounce on a pick that they shouldn't count on getting this year.

The other two INTs were Manziel making ill advised passes, which is what Manziel does...and one fumble was stripped, which happens, and the other was the last play of the game, and was no better or worse for A&M than just being tackled (and I would actually prefer it to have just been a tackle so we wouldn't have to keep hearing about 5 turnovers).

against a Sabin defense

Just in the last 6 games of last year Saban's D gave up 435 to LSU, 418 to TAMU, and 394 to UGA. Every single game was decided by 5 points or less. When he plays a good SEC team, he faces an even challenge. He needs more of these during the year so his perception won't be skewed.

His defense and offense are worse than last year, and it will show. Actually, it already has.

We'll have an easier time stopping TAMU than they will of stopping us.

I'm going out on a limb right now and predicting we'll beat TAMU worse than the Tide did.

Someone forgot how we shut his arse down last year. He has improved somewhat since then and I think he does better against us, but ultimately the Chief will have something in store for him.
