2012 Mett against Oregon, WVU (on the road), and Bama on the road?

But then again, if Jarret Lee could do it, Mett probably could have

2013 Mett back in 2011 :fap:

No

Zach had the 11th best QB rating in the SEC last yr.

No way he should have started in 2011.

mett needed more work that year. It would have at least given us the option to go to him in the championship game.

Fourth Quarter Drives
1 & 10 Spencer Ware rush for 3
2 & 7 Mett pass complete to Ware for 1 yard loss
3 & 8 sacked for 9 yard loss

1 & 10 Mett pass complete to Boone for 8
2 & 2 Mett pass incomplete to Landry
3 & 2 Mett pass incomplete to Landry

2 yard pass and he couldn't make it. He makes a 2 yard throw, and that's ball game.

And the defense stops Clemson from getting 17 yards with their backs against the wall, and we win.

Mett did enough for his team to have the lead in that game, the Alabama game, and this year Georgia's game.

Mett did absoluetely nothing in that game. Did you even watch it? It was horrible. I didn't bring up the Bama game because we could have put it away without Miles getting cute. In the Ole Miss game he threw for a lot of yards but came away with zero TDs and 2 interceptions.

We lose the South Carolina game last year if it was up to Mett. We also would have lost the Texas A&m games too. No matter what yall say, Les made the right call not starting him in 11". He should have gave him more snaps, but how can you when you have 2 seniors playing pretty good up until the Georgia game?

I think Cam is the difference, not only in turning Mett around, but his play calling. His offensive game planning and scheme if far and away better than Stud.

Jarrett Lee was treated very poorly throughout his time at LSU that is just a plain and simple fact. Yes he was guilty of being a thrower of interceptions his first year, but you pay a coach to teach him how to avoid doing so I thought. In 2010 he was the QB that moved the team down the field only to have JJ be handed the accolades of being at the helm when the team scored from inside the red zone.

Did you see the way he played last year? He looked like a deer in the headlights.

He wouldn't have had any decent QB coaching.

It would have been hard to have beaten Lee's first 8 games. He was the # 1 rated SEC QB through those games.

No, he should have stayed on the bench but he should have been given more mop up duty in the blowouts.

I agree with you, but, the real improvement came from Cam Cameron and his play calling more than Mett. Mett has been coached and vastly improved only this year.

I don't know how many times I'm gonna have to say this. In college football It's not about calling some plays that no one has seen or having a lot of formations , It's about executing the plays you do run too perfection.
College football playbooks are not some huge books. You have a limit to the amount of practice so you don't throw a ton of plays at your offensive personnel. You get them to execute the plays you do run.

If you think our offense in 2011 sucked, you are dumb.
When ranking tiger offenses by scoring(USING ONLY RUSHING AN PASSING TDS, so don't bring up special team and defensive tds) , 2011 lsu was #2 in the entire history of lsu football.

Yes, but it was a case of don't tinker with what's working in 2011. Except that we did tinker with it and benched JL. Something I will never get and probably my only real gripe with CLM.

You must have missed the first game of the century, where your boy sucked and threw back to back pics, no. 6 & 7 for his career against bama, this is why fans aren't coaches...

I think the real question everyone is asking himself, is what would the offense have been like had we had Cam Cameron AND Josh Booty in 2011?

Seriously, I don't second guess the coaches for not starting Mett. I don't think starting Mett would have made a difference in 2011. I think that Mett would probably not have been able to run the table or would have been benched (like Lee). The thing I don't understand is why they didn't get Mett more reps during the blow out victories. Last year would have gone better had Mett been more experienced (at least we would have won at Florida). Once Jefferson came back I don't think Mett saw the field again.

Not too sure , it still would have taken this year for him to reach the level he is now. QB coaching is what has him to this level of play. It simply was not there before this year.
