If Mett had the year last year he's had this year LSU would've won a championship so i could deal with that

Yeah cause he looked so great last year.

Look at Mett's stats in the Alabama game last year. It appears this was the game he turned the corner at QB... Yes, even with our shitty offense. The only thing he lacked last year to be a great SEC QB was experience up to this game IMO... And more specifically road game experience.

Yes, but it was a case of don't tinker with what's working in 2011. Except that we did tinker with it and benched JL. Something I will never get and probably my only real gripe with CLM.

Jarrett Lee should have started in 2009.
And 2010.

I didn't think Mett was very good in 2012, mostly from lack of coaching. Certainly could've used some meaningful playing time in 2011 though: and of course Miles is doing the same exact thing with Jennings: go in and handoff. So next year will be an adventure.

I thi I we can all agree that the OC situation should've been solved sooner. Should've had a new OC start in 2012. I understand the kragthorpe thing was unexpected in 2011.

Timing is everything. If our defense was as good as any year since 2002 we'd prob have a NC this year with this passing game. Even 2008 could stop the run. Frustrating.

No. He wasn't ready. And we still went undefeated without him. Come on man.

Cam was still on the Ravens coaching staff at that point.

A less-experienced Mettenberger without Cam? I'll take my chances with that cluster-frick we had.

Turned the corner? See Arky and Clemson games.

You're questioning an undefeated regular season and SEC title and appearance in NC game? Seriously? Seriously?

Go ahead and tell me how JL/JJ gave us the best chance to win.

I understood the decision to go this route but I never agreed with it.

Just imagine Mett with another year of SEC experience.

Lol you people still continue to amaze me, without Cam's guidance do you think Mett would have been half as good as he is now? A shite ton of you guys had Mett at 2600 yards and 20TDs this year with Cam before the season, now it's "Oh he should have started in 11". He could neither beat out Lee or Jefferson, and was a disaster in 2012. Captain Hindsight.

At this same time that year Jarrett Lee had a 7-1 TD/INT stat line. Yeah Mett would have been better for it in 2012 but with the way he played in 12' it tells me he wouldn't have a chance at getting us to the NCG that year.

Nope, I'm questioning the decision at QB which didn't have that much of an impact on the outcome of most of the games in 2011. We had three years of JL/JJ and enough to know neither were that good at QB. We went out and got Mett who is clearly more talented than either JL/JJ and we didn't give him the ball. Good thing our defense and special teams was there to bail out and mask our mediocre QBs against Arkansas and Georgia.

Again, I understand why the coaches went with the seniors but I still don't agree with it.
