Nope, I'm questioning the decision at QB which didn't have that much of an impact on the outcome of most of the games in 2011. We had three years of JL/JJ and enough to know neither were that good at QB. We went out and got Mett who is clearly more talented than either JL/JJ and we didn't give him the ball. Good thing our defense and special teams was there to bail out and mask our mediocre QBs against Arkansas and Georgia.

Again, I understand why the coaches went with the seniors but I still don't agree with it.

We lost against Clemson because of Mett, we lost against Florida because of Mett, what in the HELL do you think he could have done for us in 2011?

What exactly is Krags job now? Wasn't he supposed to be the QB savior?

don't think it would have made a difference. Our problem wasn't that our QB wasn't good it was that we couldn't develop QBs. If we had cam cameron in 2011 even JJ might be a decent QB, but I would suspect that JL would have won the Job and been a pretty decent QB. LSU has never really been a team to have to have dominating QB play. But as seen from last year without a coach who can coach your QB it doesn't matter how much potential the guy will have he isn't going to be a great QB.

we may have beat bama but we wouldn't have improved that much. I don't think Mett would be any better I mean he is playing amazing right now.

Again. Seriously? We drop 3 games that year if we play Mett every game. Easily.

Lol, how do you know? By the same rationale, if we gave Mett the experience in 2011 we would have gone undefeated in 2012.

How do I know we'd of dropped several games by starting a qb who had never taken a snap? Cause I watched him last year. Oregon beats us. Bama beats us. Those for sure. We never make the SEC title game or NC game. No way Id trade that awesome year for playing Mett early. No way.

Our oline was shite last year. He was pretty good when protected

we'd really miss those 98 passing yards

Those for sure

we have a different definition of sure. I don't think we get held without a TD vs. Bama nor do I think that he throws 2 picks like JL did

It's more likely he would have been ruined like Jarrett Lee was in 2008.

Maybe if Cam Cameron was there. I think Jarrett Lee might have been great with Cameron. Jefferson, I don't think so.

So maturity and cam have nothing to do with his performance this year? He wasnt ready to lead last year, he wouldnt have been ready in 2011. You guys are still talking about the guy dressing up as ron burgondy. No i think the boy had finally matured and put the work in.

People want to allude to a splut in the locker room. Think what would have happened if we trott a guy that gad been with the team a minth over guys that had been here 4&5 years. Im glad the coaches didnt blow the 2011 season on a first year starter.

Go ahead and tell me how JL/JJ gave us the best chance to win.

I understood the decision to go this route but I never agreed with it.

Just imagine Mett with another year of SEC experience.

Just imagine Mettenberger on 11/5/11 if things had played out like last year. It's highly improbable that he would have picked 2011 Alabama apart, but maybe y'all would have won by a convincing margin. In exchange for Mettenberger's awakening against 2011 Alabama, give us the AJ McCarron we saw versus LSU on 1/9/12.
