True, but the 03 D really was a wall and even fun to watch.
Still, LSU's defensive problems last year were mostly in the passing game, running and option teams generally had a rough go of it. Just as Ga Tech.

Do you guys have more talent that Ohio State on defense? Probably the same.
OSU had a lot of trouble 2 years ago containing our offense, particularly Locker. He is a playmaker, and he will make plays on Saturday.
Add with renewed energy because of a new coach in CSS, and his offensive mind and gameplan, I think he will do a great job of finding the weaknesses in your defense.

Alrighty.

Honestly, I don't know how LSU fans came into the belief that you are invincible. We will move the ball.
Even the Collegefootballnews prediction for the game said that we would move the ball on you guys.
It's not that we believe that. Most of us just understand that these are two programs on opposite ends of the spectrum.
One program is competing for national titles and one is competing to win one game.
The talent level gap is very distinguishable. It may not show up in the first quarter, but it will show up.
I know we are coming off a down year, but these D has players, and hopefully new found discipline. Sure, you may move the ball, but damn, you are a D1 college football program, I'd hope the ball is moved.

But, I DO think it will be a shootout and go back and forth the majority of the game!

I think there's a relevant data point that conclusively rebuts your argument here. See, in this regard, BCS Championship Game, LSU v. Ohio State, January 2008.
Of course, who did what 2 years ago, be it LSU or UDub, is of little relevance. See ya' Saturday.

You have NO IDEA what is headed your way.
No idea.
We have a Jake Locker at virtually EVERY position.
After Jake you have ZERO draft eligible-rated players as of this moment.
We have third teamers that would blow up your starting lineup.
Plus, we will OWN that stadium by the 2nd quarter.
Get back with us on Sunday and good luck.

Jake Locker, Polk, and Middleton make up the firepower.
Three, count em, three firepower guys!

MWash, I think you are going to find out that the difference lies in our line play on both sides of the ball, the size and speed of our WR and the size and speed of our running backs. Even if Locker does plan on airing it out 50 times to Kearse, Goodwin, Johnson, Aguilar, Polk, Middleton, etc., your defense will not be able to stop our offense. Eventually, Locker will be put into predictable passing situations and then the blitzes will begin.

I said this before the Oklahoma game.
I said this before the Ohio State game.
I said this before the Notre Dame game.
I said this before the Ga. Tech game.
I said this before the Miami game.
Why is it that people ALWAYS talk about our defense against the opposing offense? Do you UW fans not realize that we have an offense too? That your defense is tasked with stopping it? Everyone goes on & on about how our defense will do in games...while our offense quietly goes about the business of scoring.

Jake Locker, Polk, and Middleton make up the firepower. It will be interesting to see if you guys shored up the holes in the D last year.

What's Locker's win/loss record as a starter at Washington?

OSU had trouble with you becuase they were ssslllooowww....not so much on Chad Jones and Patrick Peterson...
2 years ago we played OSU in the BCS Championship and waxed that defense and controlled the offense for 3 quarters....
by the way..that hit on Locker was legal cuz he was still in bounds...regardless, he didn't scramble much after...
