So you disagree with that or you're just making up reasons to try to tear down a 21 y/o who's trying to live out his dreams because he didn't meet your standards as a college player?

You're awesome!

Ive got no problem with what he said... but he should probably worry about what its going to take just to make a final roster before worrying about what it takes to be great.

gotta crawl before you can walk, and walk before you can run.
I'm sure he is worried about making a roster first and foremost. Goddamn people really go out of their way to shite on this kid.

The problem with JJ is that you could cut off his head and he wouldn't be any dumber.

Guys, he can't do us anymore harm. I say let's act like adults and wish the best for a former tiger and move on. It's obsurd how obsessed some of you are.

What examples do you want him to give? Colt McCoy, Bobby Hebert and David Garrard?

Actually, those examples are probably more within his reach than Marino and Manning. McCoy was a starter last year for a horrible Cleveland team, so the jury's still out on him, but Hebert had a pretty long and fairly successful career, and Garrard is a good QB when healthy. No shame in reaching those levels, but also nothing wrong with setting your sights high (although somewhat delustional).

Completely agree. Focus on the present team if you want to start a thread about something.

These threads dumping on the kid really need to stop.

JJ has done enough to run off recruits on his own. Let's move on... The nightmare is over.

What? JJ ad Jlee were both booed while being the starting qb at LSU. YeAh recruits blame the players for booing.

If you are gonna say you wanna be someone why not mention great players..... First time I hear someone say they wanna be Joey Harrington, Akili Smith, Jamarcus Russell, or Heath Shuler I don't know how I will react

If I remember from grade school, that would be circle-circle-circle...slash. The "which one does not belong" game. I'm pretty sure that unless JJ happens to know Humble is a town near Houston, that word is not in his vocabulary.

The "nightmare " was our QB play, in case you missed it.

the "nightmare" has just begun for many of the posters on this site. That JJ signed an NFL contract (for a pretty nice chunk of change at that) is tearing them up inside. It's pretty funny to see.

Have you ever once said anything positive about JJ?

I was positively thrilled when he took his final snap in an LSU uniform. Very positive.

If he ever showed one teeny tiny bit of self awareness, team before I attitude or personal responsibility, it might raise some opinions of him.

boxcar, hey, get your son all you can. Unglesby isn't cheap.

I am very proud of my sons. No relation to the Lee family. I'm on record numerous times as wishing we'd have given the rock to Mett more last year. Maybe being in an NFL camp without being coddled by the coaches for the first time since he started playing organized football will instill some heretofore missing dose of humbleness. Otherwise, he is in for a difficult life.

Same here. What does that have to do with anything?

He sounded pretty humble in the quotes this thread was started with.

probably no more difficult, or easy for that matter, than most peoples lives

You and I have different perceptions of what humble is. That probably explains an awful lot.

I like humble. It's refreshing when you see a very successfull and humble athlete. Unfortnately, humbleness isn't a trait that many young athletes grow up trying emulate. I'm pretty sure JJ is a product of his environment and the culture around him. I'm sure he will grow and mature as we all do.

Also I don't see him as being a bad hearted kid
