I did notice that the band immediately stopped the song after the chant yesterday, didn't even finish playing the rest of the song.
Pretty immature for college kids to find it hillarious that they can use vulgar language. What's next, doody jokes?

When I saw the heading, I thought it was a sincere thanks for the student section for showing so much enthusiasm and passion..as it should have been.

I'm a student and I feel that "suck that Tiger dick bitch" is immature/something a 13 year old who just learned how to curse would say. Oweo was banned too because students would say "you suck".
With that being said, any parent who thinks Tiger Stadium should be G rated needs to stop going to the games & take their kids to ChuckE Cheese instead. Same with Joe

I know, I can't believe LSU is the only school that has some vulgar chant during a college football game.. We have no class, they should take all the student tickets away and give them to people 50 and up, that'll show those meddling kids!

I've sat in the non student section many times; and damn, it would be nice if they showed some enthusiasm for their team. Some of the older fans do the cheers, get excited, etc. While the majority just sit there the whole time and do nothing.

I'm a student and i've been wanting raised admission and tuition for years to weave out the morons in the student section. The idiots doing the chant will be the first to cry when neck is taken away. Its not that hard to get people, say the chant and you greatly risk getting the song taken away. Its a cause and effect.
also students: DONT DO THE DAMN WAVE WHEN THE OFFENSE IS ON THE FIELD. Also, I'm all for doing the gator chomp when we're killing the gators, but dont do it when our offense is on the 1 yard line and it's 3rd and goal. Some of our students need a lesson in football 101.

I am not ragging on them for it, only saying something because you used the phrase "so much enthusiasm and passion" but I didn't see us as being particularly notable yesterday.
The only real times that struck me as the SS being up to form was the fake and the jump pass. A lot of the game (especially in the pregame) they struck me as fairly subdued considering the level of the game. Didn't have the electricity you usually feel.

Everytime it's chanted during the song I shake my head. I would be really really disappointed if they stopped playing it for good.

At what point are you people gonna realize that Neck is not an LSU tradition. It was a replacement for a replacement, because a-hole was too "vulgar", and suck was too "vulgar", and if they get rid of it they'll play something else and the chant will be "vulgar". Then some whiny sophomore who started watching LSU when he was 17 will get butt hurt when they want to take it away. Get over yourself you sad little shut-ins basic cable is worse than the student section.
