BRPD's account doesn't jive with Collins agents' account.

Weird story get weirder: LINK

How about they find the murderer before fighting the PR war with Sports Illustrated.

Pretty much expected them to refute the claims by Collins agent. They're not just going to get housed in a national scene and not respond.

The BRPD public relations staff just botched it by even responding.

The issue WAS over.

Cops lie. It comes as no surprise that they're trying to save face after being exposed as incompetent at the national level.

A lot of the issues probably started with the shite agent Collins had/has.

This story makes sense, not the BS that his agent was putting out about not working the weekends or whatever.

His attorney/agent are slimeballs

His agent seems like more of a dumbass than a slimeball.

So do lawyers and sports agents. Same logic would apply.

BRPD is a bunch of R-tards. That's about all there is to this story.

His agent's firm was fully involved. That firm is well known and represented Todd McClure his entire career negotiating record breaking contracts. They knew what they were doing. They actually saved him from being a 7th rd draft pick and now he is a part of a top 3 OL in the NFL.

BRPD fights back, disputes info in La'el SI story
The BRPD SOBs needlessly and recklessly went public with implications about Collins.
PERIOD! End of story. Beyond that, the details are irrelevant.

The BRPD should be held liable for that.

Any person(s) who released the information, and anyone who confirmed it to the press prior to a response from La'el's camp should be fired and subject to civil action.

The BRPD should have shut their mouths, and done their job. They didn't. There is no BRPD "fights back" here. There is no dispute as to what occurred, or why. One and likely several individuals in the BRPD were publicity hounds. Simple as that. Their inappropriate behavior cost a man millions of dollars.

There is no excuse! NONE!

I believe BRPD's version...sounds very plausible that the initial contact caused panic in the Collins camp and it took time for him to lawyer up...he got some bad advice early in the process...they were probably hoping it would stay quiet until after the draft...
I do think his reps salvaged the situation and got him the best result toward the end.
