just not true

28 hits with 23 SOs and only 15 rbis

in 97 AB. so a .289 BA. not a liability. He is a singles hitter batting in the back of the lineup, 15 RBIs in less than 100 AB isn’t insane.

There was a reason we rushed Trav back in to hit while he was hurt during CWS.

because he was one of our best hitters at the time.

Plain and simple Braswell CANT HIT! He struggles to even make weak contact. From what I have seen watching live Friday and today, then look at numbers from USC, the fact is that he simply cannot hit at this level! Pearson we know from experience can. Move Milam to SS and Pearson to 2b.

still doesn't make him great at the plate. putting him at SS would be insanity and will never happen

under .250 in SEC to take into mind as well. i get he got on base occasionally for the top to put him in, but we don't have the same top of order we had last year.

You are going to be so disappointed when you find out what Brady Neal hit in SEC play last year...

Yes Milazzo as SS is a troll. My point is you can't make assumptions after one weekend.

Braswell lead the team in hitting in the fall. Did well in the spring. I'm not worried about his hitting yet.

We have 3 hitters under. 300 right now. Braswell, Kling and Pearson. I'm not worried about any of them after one weekend.

No one should be. But the rant is undefeated in finding a player to trash after opening weekend.

Jay trusts Pearson more than anyone on team
When sec play starts Pearson will be in the lineup somewhere

I have not looked at any of his stats from previous seasons, but to make these sweeping declarations at the start of the season?

Yeah that has never backfired on anyone.

“Milazzo will never hit above .180……..”. Signed the rant 2023

So what about the fall where he led the team in avg and OBP. In the fall he was tied to lead the team with 3 homers. Added another HR in the spring and led the team in avg and was 2nd in OBP.

So we can all play this game of cherry picking small sample sizes at this point. This past weekend will not put Braswell to the bench.

Without Pearson we probably wouldn't have been NC last season.
He has been clutch in the field as well as at the plate.

As a freshman at ASU he hit .314 with 6 homers and 42 RBIs

Better than braswell stats at South Carolina

Braswell was committed well before Hill entered the portal if I remember correctly. Have to be careful with the portal game. Kids start seeing coaches stack guys on top each other at the same position and they will steer clear of that program in the future. Maybe if Hill would have been in the portal earlier, Jay would have been on him harder.

Jay went all in on Braswell. Of all the HS SS nationwide and hundreds of SS in the portal Jay picked Braswell. Unless he is hurt, where is Mic Paul’s shot based on hitting production by Pearson in the fist series and some lackluster defense.
