Brown and Milam seem to have way more potential than Pearson and Braswell. I can see Milam moving to SS and Pearson playing 2nd. But I can also see Pearson being left out of the lineup the way Brown and Milam have played and will continue to play.

I dont think Braswell is in much danger of losing his spot right now. Jay seems to want him to be the guy at SS so he will get plenty of at bats to prove he can do it.

Unless Milam cools down, I don't see Pearson playing second. That means Pearson is going to have to be in the outfield. Kling and Bingham are locks in the outfield. This makes me think it's going to be Pearson versus Brown for the last outfield spot.

Pearson looked uncomfortable fielding during live bp Friday

edit: at second base, could be why we saw him starting at right on Sat

Such a bad take. So tired of 1 week takes. We need a SS to field you little kid. We don’t need him to hit 350.

I swear you sound like you 12. We need homers!

Counting practice and scrimmages, we have seen a very small sample of what goes into those decisions. Everyone will get their opportunities. As we saw last year, the bats will cool down from time to time.

Kling is the one in trouble. Can’t sit Pearson, dude was an Omaha starter and LSU doesn’t win the Natty without him. Kid from Arizona is a lock, and Brown is the future.

Kling is an athlete, but he needs to be consistent if he wants to play in SEC games.

What outfield position was Kling locked into today?

Yes you can, and he did sit most of last season. He came on strong at the very end, and he was a big piece to our postseason run, but he won’t stay in the lineup batting .215 like he hit for most of last season.

So far I've seen 4 locks. White, Trav, Neal, and Milam. Everyone else is in a fluid situation.

An outfielder hitting below 200 is the farthest thing from a lock

ETA: Jones’ bat has him locked for now

The one where your spot in centerfield is already locked down so the coach sits you to see what other guys can do.

If you seriously think Kling is not going to be the starter in centerfield absent injury, then you're not very observant.

I’m not saying Kling has lost his spot, but rather I don’t think he a lock for the rest of the year. He hasn’t sat Tommy, Braswell, or Mac yet
