LSU Director of Football Ops said today at the N.O. QB Club that it's Cotton or Outback.

Tons of LSU fans in Texas. I wouldn't be as worried for that.

Tampa...I wouldn't think as many. But I'm sure people would still travel, it just wouldn't be as easy as Dallas.

I think too many variables still exist for this to be confirmed.

I think if Missouri wins it's the Cotton and Auburn goes to Cap One. If Auburn wins it's the Outback and Missouri goes to Cotton. But then again where does South Carolina go? The whole 2 team max in the BCS is to blame for all this.

We know that the SECCG loser will not fall below the Cotton Bowl, since it's the "safety net" bowl this year. I really think that the Cotton Bowl would jump on Missouri if they lose in Atlanta. Auburn would go to the Sugar Bowl (barring upsets in the Big X and ACC championship games) and South Carolina would go to the Capital One Bowl. The CFA Bowl wants no part of LSU after last year, so they would select A&M, leaving us with the Outback. The only thing that worries me is us getting screwed by the Outback in favor of UGA. In that case, I guess we'd end up in the Gator Bowl.

I agree the Chicken Minis Bowl probably doesn't want LSU again, but doesn't the Outback pick before the CFA? The idea is Cotton takes an SECW team and Outback takes an SECE team, but as has been discussed, if Missouri loses and is passed up by Cap1, that thinking will be flip flopped; Missouri to Cotton and LSU to Outback (Outback picks 3rd after BCS, right?)

eta: LOL at Missouri being in the East anyway when they are geographically west of Baton Rouge.

quote:and then the Outback LSU I like this. But against who??? MSU if they lose to OSU?????? Not wisky for sure since they open the season next year right??? What other Big 10 team is there???? Doesn't the Cap -one have the 1st pick of a non BCS big10 team????

Ohio State - BCS Championship
Michigan State - Rose (to replace Ohio State)
Wisconsin - Capital One
Iowa - Outback. Other options are Nebraska, Michigan, or Minnesota. But Iowa beat all 3 of those teams this year, so my guess is Iowa gets Outback if B1G gets two BCS bids.

Even though Georgia beat us, we're ranked higher and Aaron Murray won't play. I think we're headed to the Outback.

Against UT.

I was banned from their site and I don't know why. Maybe, too many red bars.
Sooo, I hope we play those chumps in their backyard and beat that burnt orange arse with a 12 inch lead dildo.

Against Iowa. Should be a good game. Plus we can show those yankees what the SEC is all about.

I could see the Outback being attracted to the allure of hosting the first ever LSU-Michigan matchup. Especially given the Les Miles factor.

Well Michigan looked like Michigan against OSU. That may make them more attractive now.

Well the last time we played in Capital One bowl and it was a knock down drag out slugfest. I think there was a lot of mutual respect in that game.

Iowa does not have much more than an average offense. However the D is very good this year. I think LSU is under rated and we'd have all we wanted with the Tigers.

Miles would take it way too easy on the wolverines. I foresee me yelling at the tv in this matchup.
